I heard that this forum is very stricked(spelt right?) and what not.

So what are some basic guidelines to follow?

From what I remember...

1) Be respectful of others.
2) No list threads, or anything that may resemble one.
3) No duplicate threads.
4) Proper English is key, especially punctuation and sentence structure.
5) This is CRZ's (and Guru Zim's) board, and we're guests. You may not agree with one of their decisions, but you gotta abide by 'em.

I'd recommend lurking for awhile so you can get the feel for what's OK and what's not. I lurked on the EZBoard for a bit before I signed up.

Well, I'm not a moderator nor do I play one on TV, but I don't think the board's particularly strict at all.

I know that the mods are strongly against "list threads", so if you ever feel the temptation to write a thread titled "What's the best wrestling finisher ever?", don't.

I don't think there's a hard-and-fast rule about how many times you can post in one thread. But if it gets to the point where you post, and then Person X replies, and you reply, and Person X replies and you're the only two people talking, they'll likely insist upon you taking it to PM.

They also don't like stupid and pointless posts designed to simply boost your post count. I've never understood people that feel the need to do that just for its own sake, anyway. As if they get a raise for being boosted in rank, or their opinion's more valid because they signed up three years earlier than the other guy and have 6,580 more posts.

Be careful with the length of headers and footers. If it's taking up the entire bloody page, that's too much.

Cursing's fine, I think, as long as it's not directed at a fellow W. "This movie was a piece of shit" is OK (though lacking in creativity), but saying, "BrewGuy, you're an asshole" isn't OK. Exercise some common decency, please.

And if CRZ or a mod tells you to drop something, drop it, or risk being dropped yourself.

Those are just some basic guidelines that I tend to follow, and I haven't gotten in any trouble yet, even minor trouble. Just as long as they don't find out about that one thing in the place with the guy, I'll be OK.

Thanks for the info.

One thing I've noticed is they close a lot of threads in The W. Any particular reason? Is it because a question that was asked was answered?

Also is the Site bashing forum where they dump old thread that were deleted or what?

Threads get automatically closed after a week, because CRZ (maybe Guru too) doesn't like when someone will come in and make a new post for a thread that is dead (hasn't gotten any responses for a couple days). If they want to end a thread because they don't like the responses it is getting, it will get marked with the label.

Site Bashing is for complaining about stupid things you see on other sites. The threads that the mods don't like get put into the Banished folder. I'd check that folder out. If a thread is in Banished, some obviously did something they shouldn't be doing. Most of the other forums are self-explanatory. Test Forum is for testing out some of the features (spoiler tags, hyperlinking), and CRZ's World is for when CRZ tells us things about his life, like the tie he is wearing, or the songs he sang at Staraoke, or whatever else interests him. Current Events and Politics can sometimes get pretty heated.

Otherwise, I don't know. There's a spell checker when you write your posts. Use it, or you may get made fun of. Before you post, make sure you are adding something to the conversation, and not just posting for the sake of posting.

It's really not as strict as some people would have you believe. Basically, they're just trying to stop the annoying people.

You should also click on "No New Announcements on the main page. That links to the rules Crz and Guru expect to be followed.

Don't be like this guy (The W) ... oh wait, you ARE that guy. How about "don't lie about having never been here before," that's probably a good rule to follow.

Al Snow. This is from ECW Double Tables in 1995. Look closely and you will find Scherer, Meltzer, and probably a few other people I've forgotten were there that night. (Oh, and obviously me.)
