| #3 Posted on 27.3.02 1144.20 | Instant Rating: 0.00 | Yeah.... but is Vince actually going to promote the cruiserweights at all on his feature show? Or are we doomed to still see only one cruiserweight match once in a while?

| #4 Posted on 27.3.02 1212.00 | Give me one reason why Vince wouldn't promote them on Smackdown? The fact that he doesn't like cruiserweights? If that is so you won't see them on Raw either. Vince still controls both branches, remember?
If they are serious about starting the cw division it looks like it will be on Smackdown, as that is where the belt is.. Ofcourse you'd need some on the other show too as i assume at one point you will need to have an interbranching ppv with the cw title on the line..

Oh but he will be. I am sure Spike can do alot more against small guys than just getting thrown out of the ring over the top rope. There is dropkicked out of the ring, hurrrricanrana'ed out of the ring. dropkicked out of the ring through the ropes. They need jobbers to the stars in all divisions.
Seriously, I can see him do average to well in that division in the early stages so they can at least build it with some names. Same for Crash who if I remember from long long ago wasn't all that bad in CW matches. However, a guy like Spike should then be used as fodder for people like Hurricane or Kidman and whomever else they gonna bring in/push (Rey?)

But....they aren't going to push any of them. You see, if they were going to push the cruiserweights, Vince McMahon would have said (during the draft) Huuurrrricane Helllllms instead of Maarrrrk Heeeeenry!
He will let them go out there and flip around for 3 minutes, and that will be all. Besides, they can go and sign every cruiser in the USA and it still won't match WCW's roster depth in '96-'97. The glory days of U.S. cruisers are long gone.

| #8 Posted on 27.3.02 1345.41 | | People like the Rock and Hogan only have 2 hours of t.v. time to play with now, why would the WWF go and give 7/120 minutes to a Cruiserweight match? If the WWF was ever serious about starting the division they should have done it when Dean Malenko was wrestling. You guys and your silly Cruiserweights. A Cruiser's job in the WWF is either comic relief or job boy, and this will continue for quite some time. | Mr. Boffo
