The good news is, Triple H going to RAW means he can't continue to hold down Kurt Angle and Chris Jericho.

The bad news is, now he gets to hold down Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero.

Worse news is, RAW's the only show I get to see on a regular basis.

Fuck.

I don't want to put a downer on things, but Alexander Graham Bell invented this strange device that allows Trips to communicate with Steph and Vince despite being miles away. :P

Great attitude. People like you have no faith in wrestling and obviously don't like anything WWE gives you so much that you don't even have any hope for the future, so why watch? It might be time for a new hobby. Or you can keep crying, that should make things better.

Somehow, sucky-ass Triple H (the man who bitches about other people's workrate while possessing none of his own, outside of Stephanie's bedroom) has managed to convince Vince that he's the answer to all of RAW's problems.

If RAW was bowling-shoe ugly two weeks ago (and I don't think it was), imagine how much worse it can become now. If they were serious about actually improving the show, they would have had Kurt Angle or Chris Jericho join RAW.

Even when HHH was on Smackdown he was still at the RAW shows backstage holding people down.

This HBK/HHH combo should be interesting, I guess now they are friends again?

Or he can just hang around wrestling msg boards and make pissy comments when people express an opinion he doesn't like. Oh wait, then he'd be taking your job away, and we wouldn't want that. Though I am impressed you worked in overgeneralizing statements such as "people like you", the always amusing "if you don't like it why do you watch?" question, and an oh so cruellly biting jab there at the end. Well done.

And why yes, I AM pissed off at the idea of HHH on Raw, a show I happen to really like.

On the other hand: sure, HHH is headed to Raw, but it looks like he's planning to go as more of a heel. And it looks like he's setting up a feud with Booker, which could be highly entertaining. I'd put money down right now that HHH wins the first round of that feud, though, just to set up a bigger blow-off match between the two down the road.

Raw NEEDS an established main-event heel right now to help give the rub to the babyfaces. Taker seems to be going face (and I'd put money down that Steph's "ripping the heart out of Raw" comments means that he'll be headed to Smackdown to challenge Angle for Summerslam, blaming Kurt for his title loss). Brock is tied up with Rock, and isn't exactly a solid heel. Benoit and Eddie are possibly there, but Austin's departure robbed them of a chance to solidify Eddie as a main event player. This feud with the Dudley's really hasn't helped, though it was shocking to find the Dudleys actually won their signature match. At any rate, this move should at least give Booker a solid main-event level program to help cement his status in the main event.

What worried me more than seeing HHH going to Raw (which IF somehow, somewhere he finds his old form again might be good for the show) was the fact that HBK was there..
And as they said something like screwing with Bischoff I am afraid the era of dick jokes and sucking it has returned..

And no, that isn't good. Initial pop will be amazing, and I will grin but after that it will be just the same old :(

If the HHH/Booker feud happens, I hope to heck Book busts out the "Don't hate the playa, hate the Game" catchphrase again.

It's goofy as hell, but can you think of a better time for him to use it?

Booker/Triple H promo, caught live in progress:
BT: Well, don't hate the playa...hate the game!
HHH: But I'm the Game...
BT: Now can you dig that...SUCKA!!!???
HHH: No... Vince! This guy's more over than me...
[HHH runs off in tears to Vince.]
BT: Ah, shit.
[Suddenly, HHH returns...with Stevie Ray]
SR: Froot booty!

Well, hopefully this leads to the Return of Stevie Ray...or at least some kind of continuing push for Booker.

I have no idea why so many people are so intent on bashing HHH. If you don't like his performance in the ring, that's one thing. If you bash him for politics that's another, because IT'S ALL SPECULATION. Unless you have talked to a source who can give you Event A and Event B of HHH's backstage politics, then SHUT UP. One person everyone says HHH is holding down is Jericho. I wonder why Jericho says he wishes he could work with HHH and Benoit every match....

What do we know about HHH?
He carried the WWF on his back during what I remember as one of its most entertaining eras in the absence of Stone Cold Steve Austin.

He is hooked up with Steph, which COULD mean he infuences Vince, but doesn't NECESSARILY mean he does.

He apparently speaks out against angles he doesn't like. Lots of wrestlers do that, and if I was the boss, I'd like bad ideas to be brought to my attention for review. Maybe HHH is wrong in his judgment, but that doesn't make his motivation something more than attention to the product.

In times past, if not today, he has been a locker room leader.

He's moving from Smackdown to Raw. Think about this. He's moving from the more successful show to the struggling show. Political fiends like Hogan in WCW STAY AWAY from the struggling product so they don't look bad. HHH is willing to take the risk for the good of the show. Whether this means he is arrogant about his abilities or not is beside the point.

Having said all that, I don't KNOW that HHH is NOT engaged in backstage power-wielding. But YOU don't know he is.

Triple H brings a lot of bashing on himself. He sleeps with the bosses daughter. He is the only wrestlers who attends booking meetings. He gives a pompous speech chewing out the rest of the wrestlers for playing videogames and leaving the show early to get some sleep.
The WWE is struggling as a whole. While Raw ratings are down, Smackdown ratings are also down, nothing to brag about. Both shows are struggling, and not selling out.
Triple H is the best there is at playing the game. He plays politics. Booker T says it best, "Don't hate the playa, hate The Game.

Who are you to say what Triple H does with his PERSONAL TIME and PERSONAL LIFE is right or wrong? It's a free country. He's allowed to sleep with who he wants.

How is this his fault? Vince McMahon LETS Triple H attend these booking meetings. Shouldn't the blame be on his shoulders?

How is this any different than countless threads bitching about backstage politics and/or a bunch of SMARKS posting a thread stating their opinions on who, in a MILLION DOLLAR COMPANY WITH A BOARD THEY ARE NOT PART OF IN ANY WAY, should be "punished" because they had a bad night of work? How is that any different than posting a thread claiming the Big BossMan or X-Pac or Billy Gunn or whomever else you guys "hate" should be FIRED because you don't like them? NONE. There's ZERO difference, whether you want to admit it or not. Acutally, wait. There is. 99% of you guys posting crap like this wouldn't say it to their faces. You'd probably run up and ask for an autograph. If you're entitled to your petty criticisms about the product, you should allot the same courtesy to someone who is actually THERE and KNOWS FIRSTHAND how things work instead of reading it on a message board.

Dude, I wasn't saying Triple H's relationship with Stephanie was wrong. I can't blame him for dumping Chyna. But, placing himself in that situation can cause a lot of resentment and criticism.

Vince lets Triple H get away with stuff other wrestlers can't. Like sitting in on management meetings. He can criticize anyone he likes just as we all do.

WyldeWolf1 was giving Triple H credit for moving from a successful show - Smackdown, to a not so successful show - Raw. I was just pointing out that the ratings for both shows have been equally sucky.

OK, maybe HHH isn't such a bad guy once you get to know him. (He loves his dog, we do know that at least.)

But he's messed up in two areas:

While he certainly carried the company on his back for a time, THOSE DAYS ARE OVER. Like every ego-driven main eventer before him, HHH thinks he can stay at the top forever. Newsflash: he can't. But as long as his wife is the head writer, what are the chances of Hunter stepping aside and helping create some NEW stars?

and Number Two: HHH's locker-room "pep talk". Any manager or coach will tell you, when a team's morale is down, that's NOT the time to be critical. Big, big mistake, and coming on the heels of his wife's debut on Smackdown, astoundingly ill-timed.

Other than that, he's almost cool. I guess.
