Tim Duncan had the honors of initiating Yao into the league, knocking him to the floor off an attempted block. Yao finished with 6 points, but seemed to adjust to the physical style of the NBA, which is good as it appears that every opposing big man is going to test Yao's toughness throughout the season.

Pretty much what I expected” instead of “The damned referees didn't do their job correctly.” If the kid thinks he got tested by the Spurs, his SAT tests will take place at the hands of the Lakers. “And I would walk 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more, Just to be the man who walks a thousand miles and falls down at your door.”--“500 Miles”, traditional Scottish drinking song Two-Time, Two-Time Randomly Selected Wiener of the Day, 5/27/02 and 7/3/02 | redsoxnation

Wait til he gets to game 50 or 60 and see how much spirit he has.

| #4 Posted on 25.10.02 0757.05 | I think Yao Ming will do alright this year. I'm waiting for the eventual matchup against Shaq. That is if Shaq is fully healed from his foot injury.

| #6 Posted on 29.10.02 0104.04 | Instant Rating: 4.52 | Shaq abuses everyone down low. I think Yao will be all right, though. He'll become a great player. Probably won't happen this year, however. “But I don't want to go around mad people!” “Oh, you can't help that. Most everyone's mad here.”Alice in Wonderland (1951), Alice and The Cheshire Cat Two-Time, Two-Time Randomly Selected Wiener of the Day, 5/27/02 and 7/3/02 Certified RFMC Member-- Ask To See My Credentials! |
