On May 20th, Weird Al Yankovic releases "Poodle Hat", his first new album in 4 years. According to Rolling Stone (rollingstone.com), the album will have the following songs.

Parodies:
Couch Potato, a parody of Eminem's "Lose Yourself"
Trash Day, a parody of Nelly's "Hot In Herre"
A Complicated Song, a parody of Avril Lavigne's "Complicated"
Ode To A Superhero, a parody of Billy Joel's "Piano Man"
E-Bay, a parody of the Backstreet Boy's "I Want It That Way"

Originals:
"Hardware Store", "Party At The Leper Colony", "Wanna B Ur Lover" (probably about online romance), "Bob", "Genius In France" (most likely about Jerry Lewis

and the obligatory polka medley, "Angry White Boy Polka", featuring snippets of songs from Papa Roach, System Of A Down, The Vines, The Hives, The White Stripes, The Strokes, Disturbed, Rage Against The Machine, Limp Bizkit, Staind, Kid Rock, P.O.D., and Eminem.

Personally, I think this'll be a good album, and the polka medley could be the best he's ever done.

"America may have some problems, but it's our home. Our team. And if you don't wanna root for your team...then you should get the hell out of the stadium. Go America." --Stan Marsh, South Park

This is all kinds of awesome. Al's polka medley on "Bad Hair Day" was my revenge against all the godawful alternative on my college radio station back in the day; to hear him rib the Limp Bizkits of the world will kick much arse.

Must...possess...CD...

Wow...RollingStone.com scooped Al`s own site (which is keeping all details top-secret as long as possible).

There's very short clip of the Eminem parody on MTV.com.

So it's too bad that there won't be a music video made, but MTV only ends up showing Al's videos like twice anyway.

The entire "Couch Potato" single is available right here. Personally, I think he's outdone himself. The sheer number of references in this track makes it damn near impossible to even keep up with it.

Once again, Eminem proves himself to be an ass. C'mon, even MICHAEL JACKSON allowed Al to spoof him in a video (twice!)
