I'm a longtime Weinerboard lurker, I enjoy reading the threads but usually don't interject, but I am curious if anyone knows what happened to Gail Kim? I don't remember if she was injured or anything, or sent down for more training, or what. Not that she was a greatest wrestler, but she was easy on the eyes at least. :)

"Orton's facials were perfect, I must say." (Ringmistress)GPJO: Overestimating her a bit? I mean, she's not exactly bear-worthy (tomatoalligator.com) but she is adequately hot. Hopefully they'll let her marinate in OVW or Heat to lose any lingering rust or camera jitters.

That may take a few years... For all the trash talk about Jackie Gayda, at least she didn't come in to the company with a reputation as a good worker and then do moves that forced her opponents to dive forward to catch her in order to prevent her from killing herself.
I didn't catch the Heat match either, so how *did* she get injured? I keep flashing back to when she lept over the ropes in an attempt to plancha Trish, but was going to miss by about a foot until Trish jumped forward.

Gail went to do a top rope springboard from the apron to the inside (ala Rey westcoast pop) and slipped off the rope and landed on her collarbone... To her credit she did finish the match. Gail also split the back of her tights during that match, just a real bad night for Ms. Kim all around.
I think the problem was that WWE overestimated the flashy moves alone to get over. They thought back to 2000 and remembered Lita getting moster over simply by using a moonsault and a hurricarna on guys and thought "Hey Gail got some flashy moves let her do it and wow the crowd"... The thing is, this isn't 2000 anymore and with girls like Trish, Ivory and Molly all doing the same type of high spots and were doing it a lot more crisp and realistic then Gail.
It does show how the net can hype someone too much from just 30 second video footage of her doing some cool spots on guys 3 times her size who able to catch and carry her and of course the benefit of the edit button... I still don't understand bringing her up so fast and stopping Ivory's mini-push on the spot, which was slowly gaining some steam with defeats of Jazz and the friendship rub of Trish. They did work hard for a few weeks to get Ivory over somewhat over, why give up I don't understand. I'm an Ivory fan I was rooting for her

Get your WWE CD copy autographed by Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, Trish Stratus and Lilian Garcia after Raw... Oh MY! Christmas has come late. Can't get better then that.
Good God, Gail tried a springboard move? She can't possibly be that dumb. I didn't think it was possible for someone to make Lita look like a decent wrestler(one who's supposedly a wrestler herself, that is). Kim needs to be sent to OVW and learn to work a more grounded style. Otherwise, have her valet or something. She was awfully useless out there as Molly's practically invisible sidekick. Give her some personality, or something. Or just get rid of her for all I care. Lita still sucks.
Spike was the Bruiser's son in law. A high flyer - for those days. - which meant he came off the second rope with a lariat Spike was still doing WCCCW late in the 80's., oddly enough, teaming with Bruiser Brody quite often.
