...Weep for us, instead. You have to admit, no matter how melodramatic they make this, this whole thing is a pain in the ass. A first ever stepmother/stepdaughter match?! Give me a break. This match (even if Torrie and Dawn knew actual wrestling moves) will not, and I mean, WILL NOT, EVEN IF THEIR LIVES DEPENDED ON IT, be as good as Trish Stratus vs. Stephanie McMahon. Even at the time, that whole Vince angle was not my kind of entertainment, but they kept my attention, hell, I laughed at Steph's "powerbomb". See, comedic stuff, but entertaining. This is not going to be a sleeper like that one. If anyone remembers anything about Trish and Steph's match, compare that to what we'll see at the Rumble. I dare you to convince me that this will come close!

This match has Jackie Gayda special written all over it. This might be the type of match; combined with his disdain for the Steiner/Trip match, that causes Netcop to break out the old hotpokers system for a few matches.

what sucks is, i taped the show, and i stopped it in the middle of rewinding to see where it was, and i see al wilson laid out! i'm like, holy shit, someone took out al wilson! this is the greatest smackdown ever! so of course, i'm waiting the whole show to see who it would be.. kidman, to avenge his possible new love interest? torrie, in a fit of rage? some new debuting bad-ass babyface? (i mean, what better way to get face heat than by taking out al wilson!). unfortunately, it was dawn marie who banged him to death. i wanted to cry.

The only way I will be happy is if Al dies (storyline-wise of course). This angle sucks worse than the Necro, not for content, but because the damn thing is OVER THREE MONTHS LONG. I say kill Al. I'll laugh my ass off - and then at the Rumble we can watch two non-skilled skanks fight for the honor of the deceased ol' gigolo. There's really no way to save it, so please just destroy it and then drop it - Dawn kills Al, Torrie avenges at Rumble, and we all weep tears of joy as Torrie wins for the honor of her dad. Fuck this angle!

Hey you know what would be great? This is looking too far ahead, but imagine if they play it out like Dawn INTENTIONALLY killed Al to get back at Torrie (for what, it escapes me now - maybe winning a gravy bowl match in September or something)? Then at the Rumble, Torrie and Dawn are fighting, and AL WILSON(!!) comes down the aisle. Dawn acts like she just saw a ghost (hehe) and Al nails her (with a punch, of course), and he reunites with Torrie.

Either that or just kill Al and I'll chuckle.

Either way, I'll be happy. It's the WWE, so it's okay to laugh at the death of others.

Yea I guess it does sound bad, but WWE stories are fake after all. Al ain't really dying, the storyline is just stupid.

You do have to admit, there's something oddly comical about the way Al allegedy went down - I mean Dawn banged the ol' gigolo to death? Got sort of a grin out of me.

So I guess this is Dawn Marie's master plan. Hate Torrie so much that seduces her father, HLA's with Torrie, weds her father and screws him to death. For Torrie Wilson, this time, it's personal. Bring out the cream pies and jello pit!

Torrie hasn't been on house shows in over a month so it's not like she's improved or even gotten practice in. I suppose they need something to go on before HHH/Steiner so it doesn't look so bad.

You know, I'm one of the unlucky fools who only get TNN and not UPN.
This Torrie/Dawn/Al thing, which I have not watched one second of, is the ONE THING for which I can laugh at Smackdown viewers. "HAHAHAHA! You have to sit through THAT crap? AHAHAHAHA!"

Then they remind me that I watch The Triple H Show, and my heart sinks.

You could watch Velocity on TNN which is the SD partial recap show to see the suckitude that is Torrie Wilson/Dawn Marie Wilson/Al Wilson. I could almost, theoretically, live with the Dawn Marie/Al Wilson part of the angle if they would just not put Torrie on my TV again.
And remember, if you suffer through watching this crap recapped on Velocity, some goodness follows in the Four Horsemen retrospective on Confidential.

Damn, here I was hopin that the WWE was going with the Ted Wiliams family fued angle and having Dawn and Torrie fight over his frozen remains.
Well at least Dean can still rave over Al's meat missle.

The best part of this whole sordid journey through a Wrestlecrap worthy angle is the fact that Torrie and Dawn will be back to bikini contests by February, as if nothing ever happened.

Torrie: "I'm so pissed off at you for turning me lesbian and then almost killing my dad that I am going to shame you by striking a more sexy pose. THAT'LL SHOW YA!"

The call is from heroism; will you accept the charges?

Personally, I was kind of hoping that Dawn Marie would say,

"Oh no, Al. Did I? Really? I FUCKED YOUR HEART OUT???"

then throw a pound of ground chuck at the camera.

Then Triple H could have pedigreed her through the hotel bathroom counter for gimmick infringement.

A man can dream....

I really think the WWE has dropped the ball here with their writing. They've booked themselves into an OK match, and I am certainly expecting the Torrie-Dawn Marie matchup to be a ***1/2 to **** special.

But with a little foresight, think of how this might have been handled. Say Stephanie McMahon had kept Scott Steiner on the Smackdown brand. That way, we could have set up the greatest matchup in WWE history - Dawn Marie vs. Stephanie - the woman who FUCKED A MAN TO DEATH vs. the woman who FUCKED A MAN RIGHT INTO THE SMACKDOWN ROSTER. It's the battle of the POWER OF THE FUCK (gimmick infringement suit by William Regal pending)

While watching this entire pile of shite last night, I'm wondering, is this meant to be taken seriously, is this comedy or is this suppose to be sexy? My conclusion: None of the Above. Really I'm asking, what is this angle? Is it comedy or do they want us to take it seriously, I have no clue.

WWE! You have WWEFilms (I'm sure is going to do so well), please take this shite out of the wrestling program and do a movie out of it. Because that's what it is a 4 month soap opera with no wrestling aspects at all. Do a movie about this, let them be off Smackdown for 3 or 4 months to film it. I'm sure with Torrie, Dawn, and Al Oscar caliber acting the major theatres will be falling over themselves to put it on.

Redsoxnation, I'm happy I'm not the only one who thinks Torrie is the worst part of this. Dawn and Al are awful, but Torrie is comatose, she reminds me of a younger, sexier Linda McMahon, really noticeable last night. Torrie a little passion when you speak can help, that Josh kid looked like her was going to fall asleep in the middle of it... If this is Cinderella, I sure hope Torrie eats the apple and Prince Kidman is stuck in traffic (I know I think I'm getting Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Snow White confused. Like it matters lol).

What makes matters worse is the over focus on this, in a matter of a month or so we end Smackdown with Dawn in a hotel room TWICE!. Like someone else mentioned Velocity which only recaps two SD happenings maybe 3, every single week is recapping this angle... And what has to be considered a major slap in the face, check out WWE.com, their front page on Thursday it's hyping the Honeymoon, and right now it's a picture of Dawn in bed with Al the corpse with Angle/Benoit no where in sight. This is not the first time this is the case, more times then not in the last few months WWE.com SD cover picture focused on this angle. How do you think HHH would react if his title feud plays second fiddle to this, It Wouldn't. And guess what, Good For HHH. I wish Angle had the balls to go up to someone that matters and says "Why the fuck are you undermining my title reign and match with this shite".

Well look at the bright side Torrie is coming to Niagara Falls later this month to do PR, maybe Dawn and Al could go along with her and jump the falls in a barrel, but how annoyed I am with all 3 of them, the barrel is optional. I'm kidding of course I think

Why is this slow-burning, carefully crafted (albeit, mostly poorly written) feud wasted on Torrie and Dawn? It seems that these days, too many PPV matches get so little to even no build, but the one match that does get a big build is for two "wrestlers" who can't possibly pay it off.

(Re-reading this, I think 'carefully crafted' is too nice of a term. But what I'm trying to get at is that they spent a lot of time building this feud and trying to make people care (even if they've failed), while other matches that would be more worthy don't receive much time at all.)

There is one way for this feud to end on a good note. Al must die and Torrie an Dawn must fight in a hardcore matchup. A dark, evil wrestler helps Dawn with the end. Have Torrie reapear late Feburary and have her manage a wrestler to fight Dawn's wrestler at Wrestlemania.

Edit: Is this Sexy? I don't know, but seeing Al Wilson's body sure does give you a new apprecion for your own.
