Who here watches the weekend WWE shows? Do you watch it on a weekly bases? Do you watch Heat, Velocity or Experience? If so which do you like most... Plus how would you improve on the shows, or are they a lost cause and not even worth the effort.

Heat: Is my most watched, mostly out of convenience. I liked what they were doing about a year ago with the Stevie Night Heat thing. Having more interviews or skits backstage (that doesn't concern Val, because it seems whenever they did something backstage 80% of the time is some lame tired Val gimmick skit) makes the show actually seem worthwhile instead of 3 matches that have no cause or effect on anything and 2 recaps packages... If they want to actually take a risk, maybe they can rotate the # 3 to 5 storyline on roster to heat. As it can be lost on the shuffle of a 2-hour Raw show it can be the main focus on Heat and give it importance. Just a thought.

Velocity: I used to watch it when Josh & Tazz did commentating, they were the closest thing to old school weekend WWF shows where the announcing team was so good that the matches weren't even that important if they were squash. Josh & Tazz always had nice lines at every segment. As Tazz left, I left the show as well... I haven't watched it recently but I guess the same holds true with Velocity as with Heat. But the problem does the SD show even have 3 to 5 storylines going at one time to rotate to Velocity?

Experience: Lost cause, I like Ivory she's being wasted here, I know she wasn't doing much of anything before this show started but I think she has the overall talent to help the women division (and Raw brand in general) especially considering how poorly the Women division is doing now... Experience recaps both Raw & SD and they have an hour to do so. It's the same recap clips you see on Heat & Velocity, maybe one more clip from each respective show. The best part of Experience is the "away from arena" features and it's one or two features that last about 3-minutes. I say bring back Confidential, push the show up to noon right before NFL games start.

I too used to watch Velocity when it was Tazz/Josh. Now w/ Bill Demott on there, I can't stand it. His "Turning Point" pisses me off. He also just whines about what the younger guys are doing wrong. I thought that announcers we're supposed to hype up guys, not point out everything they do wrong?

Velocity hit its peak with "Shades of Poker Face." It was all downhill from there.

The time slots kill it for me... usually after getting home from work on a Saturday night, I could watch Velocity/Confidential, flipping between that, sports, and late night comedy shows. But the 7 PM EST timeslot for both Saturday and Sunday kills it for me, since I'm usually doing something at that point in time. I do try and catch Experience, because it usually takes me an hour to get out of bed on a Sunday, and I actually get to see some action from RAW and SD (with my work schedule now, it's real tough for me to catch either show).

Killing the recaps and having another match or two (or even Heat/Velocity exclusive angles) would improve both shows for me. They already have Experience, Bottom Line and Afterburn for recaps. Why take up 20 minutes of Heat/Velocity too? Leave the "Smack of the Night" type replays, and yeah, talk about them a bit during the matches, but show more original matches. With a roster their size and the talent they have, there shouldn't be a problem having 4-5 matches on Heat/Velocity with one or two running over a commercial break.

I haven't watched Heat in the longest time. I seriously can't remember when I caught it last.

Velocity, though, I try to catch as much as possible. Usually can get some decent cruiser stuff, and a decent tag match. About 8 weeks ago there was a fantastic Knoble/Rey match, and earlier this year there was an awesome Knoble/London match.

I couldn't even tell you when or where Experience or Afterburn air.

I never catch Heat, usually because I'm just getting home by the time the main event starts. Velocity, sometimes, although I must say, I did enjoy Ernest Miller doing color with Josh.

I think Demott is just bitter with the young guys because they're taking up a spot where he could be aweing the crowd with his Hugh Morrus/Gen. WTF-ever he was gimmmicks.

I sometimes catch Heat, but I try to catch Velocity every week. The 10pm timeslot was better for me, as I got to juggle Velocity and repeats of the Simpsons. Now it's Velocity and repeats of Seinfeld......not that there's anything wrong with that.

Have never seen Experience, caught the Bottom Line last week (some of it) when I missed the second hour of RAW. And I flick on the SD recap show for a second or two, just to see Rue.

(or even Heat/Velocity exclusive angles)

There was a time when Heat was the best show of the week for WWE, during the Raven/D'Lo "Masterpiece" angle.

I have my TiVo grab all 3 of Velocity, Heat & Experience. Whether I get a chance to watch any of them is a different matter.

Oddly, I usually do FF through Experience, looking for the one, fleeting, non-recap segment. (That only takes about 5 minutes, so it's not a big time commitment.) I love Ivory & think Grisham is doing quite well, but having watched Raw & SD, there's not much on Experience for me.

Heat & Velocity both take about a half-hour, since I FF the recaps. I like Al, dislike Coach (not in the good heel heat way -- the more he's running his own agenda, the worse), like Josh, & don't particularly care for DeMott. There are some good, entertaining matches on the "B" shows, but with less of the continuing plotlines, you don't have the "what's going to happen next in this feud?" impetus to be sure to be there.

And, also oddly, not having discussion threads of those shows takes away some of the fun. (Who says the internet isn't important to Vince's business?) Sadly, there's a "critical mass" thing about discussion threads, & Heat & Velocity don't seem to garner that.

Wow Emma that's really a good point, especially to me. I caught last weeks Heat that had a decent match with Trish v. Nidia. Not a fan of Trish's heel character but I was very impressed with her heel ringwork, as she totally adapted changes in her repertoire. Example, chops in the corner now was stiff forearms to the chest, nice mat work turning Nidia into a pretzel, & really liked her throw Nidia to the ropes but sticks her knee out during the throw to trip Nidia up. Stuff I've never seen from Trish as a face. I was impressed with the story they told as Trish was the confident superstar who's "been her, done that" who toyed with the rookie & Nidia who played a upstart youngster who's got heart but not the experience who wrestled on emotion but fell to the 4-time champs. I was going to make a post of this match but then thought naa It's Heat no one watched it or cared so I didn't.

But to that point Emma, I think you have something there, even if it's subconsciously I used to watch Velocity more when there used to be a poster who'd write up a thread on it for night. Then again it was during the much more entertaining era of Josh/Tazz commentary, but like I said maybe it was something subconsciously about watching it and knowing that I will discuss it here... SSS is right after the greatness that was pokerface, Pokerface, POKERFACE on Velocity. How on earth can they ever top that!

I'm working on Sunday nights so I usually leave Heat on and catch bits and pieces of it. It's usually not very good, although if I missed some or all of RAW it can be nice to see the recaps.

I catch Velocity if I happen to be home at that time. It's better than Heat, just because of the cruisers and such on the roster, but it's not as good as it used to be. (Remember when the jobbers would be old ECW guys like Joey Matthews? That was fun.)

I don't watch the Experience thing.

Just put more matches on and give the wrestlers some room to be creative and I'd be happier with them. Also, it would be nice if one or both of the B-shows would institute a "Vault" segment replacing the one from Confidential, preferably with longer matches.

And it would be nice if they reran the shows in the late night. If I'm not home for Velocity at 7, I could probably watch it at 2AM or something, and it would probably at least get some viewers at that time. I miss the days when I could watch Nitro at 1AM!

I tape all the shows (except bottom line and afterburn since they're just recap shows.) While Raw and SD are on I'll check in on them as I channel surf. On Saturday mornings I watch them all in a row (with finger on the FFW button) stopping to only watch/tape the matches that interest me. On Sunday mornings I wake up just in time for Experience but really only watch it for Ivory (I'm such a mark for her.)
Velocity is better than Heat because there is usually one good match. But I agree that Tazz needs to come back as he is great with Josh.
Heat has been all Low Carder vs. Jobber matches lately. And Al has really upset me as he calls every jobber "Babaganoush" and totally pisses them away. I would think a wrestler/trainer would give at least a little respect to them and get the audience to try and care about them.Coach just sucks, Todd did a better job of trying to call matches a few weeks ago.

This reminds me of the old Groucho Marx line "Who are you going to believe me or your lying eyes?" Boston Idol is doing better. He wants us to ignore the rating, what we saw on TV, what we heard, and the arena reports.
