There could be some small adjustments made and still not piss everybody off for not remaining consistent. This is one of the greatest things to happen in wrestling history. All the dream matches that people used to talk about are finally possible, most of them anyway. So why not build them up and make the matches mean something. Give us a reason to want to watch the match again.

For example: Rock vs. Booker T, I thought the only way to see that was by using CAW on videogames. When it happened, the angle sucked so bad that no one would care to see it again. Something more recent is RVD vs. Eddie G., this could go on at least til SummerSlam and remain interesting. And the IC belt wouldn't even have to be involved. A couple of interviews, a few run-ins to ruin eachother's matches and they could be still going at it while the IC belt could be used to elevate other guys.

Putting all belt-holders on both shows would give the titles more prestige, even the HC title. Make a better title for the HC division and give it more substance. Make Bubba the mean SOB that he is and make people respect the title. Better yet, re-unite the Dudley Boys and give the tag titles more importance. Dreamer or someone can elevate the HC division.

Making #1 contenders for each belt could give wrestlers a little more status and organization. Cause they ain't doin nothing better. Bringing back jobbers, in my opinion, is the best way to get the mid-card guys over; not stupid interviews and goofy-ass angles like "Planet Stasiak", even though that one is kinda funny.

Of course changing the name has to happen again. The WWE name is trash, it sounds like a women's channel or something. It just doesn't give the same vibe. I hope they change it, almost anything is better. And restarting some of the old ECW angles that everyone didn't get to see would be cool. I for one, only read about the Raven/Dreamer or and Raven/Sandman something similar to this would be cool. Just my opinion.

You know, back in 2000, they had brand new top face The Rock with brand new top heel HHH. Plus rapidly up and coming stars in Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit.

Then Undertaker came back and did nothing but clutter up the top.

Then Austin came back to his old act (which admittedly was still better than the faded glory of The Rock by that stage)

Now we've bloody well got Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan cluttering shit up.

The WWE doesn't owe these guys a frickin' thing, just book them really, really part time and put the focus of the show on Jericho, Benoit, HHH and Austin.

Austin and Benoit can feud with Benoit as the monster heel.

Jericho and HHH can feud with Jericho as the face.

Personally, I like Jericho with The Rock more and I think Rock could of been used to really cement Jericho's character and raise it to the phenomenal heights it should be at so that when he goes at the heel HHH for the belt next time, it won't be as a bland, sucking up to the crowd, underdog face, but as the shady, edgy, tweener face from hell that he showed so much potential with in late 99, early 2000, but even better.

It would be easier to get rid of RVD if he could go somewhere else, but since they've got him even though they don't need him, maybe you could slot him in the hardcore division and let him steal the show there.

From the desk of Swordsman Yen
The 10 Things Swordsman Yen proposes to save the former WWF:

1) Go all the way with having two different brands. Have two different writing teams for each show. One show could be a mostly wrestling show, while the other could be focused on sports entertainment. Have each show try to steal the other's talent in a storyline. The wrestlers and announcers can take occassional jabs at the other show to make it seem like a competition and indirectly promote the other, such as "You ain't gonna talk for 30 minutes. What do you think this is, Raw?" or "Instead of spending 10 minutes cheering for washed-up athletes, we use that time for wrestling." Maybe use cash-bonuses as incentives to the roster that has the better rating that week.

2) Revive the tag-team division. Let the tag-team champions appear on both shows. This will give the Hardys a purpose to wrestle as a team on Raw, unless you count being sacrifical lambs to Brock Lesnar. Goldust can use the quest for the tag-team belts to try to get Booker T on his side (not that way, mind you!) Wrestlers who have nothing better to do can form teams, like Steven Richards and Justin Credible or Lance Storm and Chavo Guerrero (the Mexi-Can Connection?). Hey, that's how the New Age Outlaws got started.

3) Go cold turkey on the bad habits. Stop with the "Moments Ago" segments. Make JR put over wrestlers not named Austin or Bradshaw. Have Michael Cole study the name of every wrestler and their finishing move. Tell Lawler to tone down the lechery act (assuming it is an act) and act like a true heel announcer (take a look at some older wrestling shows he's called. He can do it.) Also, have no more than two out-of-ring vignettes per storyline. Don't rely on the heel owner template to create heat.

4) Put the younger talent over the older ones. Chris Jericho, Edge, Kurt Angle, and RVD have long careers ahead of them. Can you say the same about Austin, Undertaker, or Hogan? The future needs to be worked on today. They need to go over the older and established stars, or the former WWF isn't going to have much of a future to build on.

5) NWO: Use them or get rid of them. Either the NWO needs to become the poison they've been billed to be or they need to go. Let them be the out of control badass heels that they were in the early stages of the WCW run, and maybe have some members spill over into Smackdown for the purpose of completely destroying the former WWF. That was their initial purpose, right?

6) Focus on quality PPV's, not quantity. The former WWF should consider cutting their PPV's in half so that you would just have Wrestlemania, King of the Ring, Summerslam, Survivor Series, Royal Rumble, and Backlash. If revenue needs to be made up from the dropped PPV's, then increase the price, but make each PPV four hours long. This will give more of the roster a chance to shine on a bigger stage plus plenty of time for the proper buildup of main events and feuds between PPV's.

7) Make some changes in the title hierarchy and rationale. Flush the Hardcore and CW belts. The Hardcore title has become a joke, and the CW belt is a glass ceiling in disguise. Besides, the CW title is no longer needed anyway since the brand extension is supposed to give workers like the cruiserweights a chance to move up in the food chain. The European title should somehow migrate to Smackdown and be regarded as equal to Raw's IC title. Both belts should be considered stepping stones to the Undisputed title. Wrestlers should get titles as a result of getting over, not as an attempt to get over.

8) Rule of thumb: if you're on camera, you ain't booking. The talent should allowed to make suggestions and give feedback on the direction of their character, but the final say goes to the booking team, who must be compromised of writers who don't have major on-camera roles to avoid conflicts of interest.

9) Stop the censorship! Funny how the former WWF is doing the same thing now they criticized WCW for doing a couple of years ago: taking away signs. Not everybody is going to like Hogan or The Rock. Let the fans express themselves as long as it doesn't get out of hand. The last thing the former WWF needs to be doing right now is alienating fans.

10) Never let Stephanie back on TV. Ever. I feel no need to explain that one.

for the company to have any shot at a future:

Under NO circumstances allow ANY wrestler with ANY amount of potential (Jericho, Eddie, RVD, Brock) anywhere near either Austin or HHH.

You'll never get any new stars if you have them feud with those two selfish, over-rated, career-killing, heat-snuffing bastards.

Whose career has Austin killed? He had a great thing going with Benoit/Jericho last summer, and he let Jericho go over him for the Undisputed Title. So what has Austin done, except be especially boring since the nWo came in?

And has Triple H actively held down anyone besides Jericho?

Maybe "career-killer" was a little strong -- my bad.

But as for the rest, off the top of my head I seem to remember Austin going through the entire NWO like a hot knife through butter -- all because his ego wouldn't allow any less.

Stone Cold should do an infomercial for Heat-B-Gone. Watch how this angle with Eddie work itself out, then tell me I'm wrong.

A Star Wars Geek says:

The L Force! Lodi, La Parka, Lenny, Lash Lereoux, and Los Sickboy!

No more Steph/Hunter writing.

No Bradshaw.

Clear the top three out. HHH an UT for good. Austin for a few months sabbatical.

Elevate Regal, Christian, and Storm. In that order.

Fire Mark Henry.

Bring back Bull Buchanon.

Tell the other animals you're sending him off to a nice field where he won't have to work. Kill the donkey so no one knows Hogan is really going to the glue factory.

Team Canada!

Fire Michael Cole, hire Tenay (though I hear it's too late to get Tenay)

Tar and feather Jerry Lawler. Fire him.

Let Rock do as many movies as possible.

New theme for Brock. Name his finisher.

Do NOT bring in Goldberg.

Chainsaw battle royal between CRZ's followers and Scott Keith's. This decreases the number of naysayers.

Bring back Commissioner Foley.

Put Scotty Too Hotty in a barrell full of tacks and send him over niagra falls. Fire him.

New tag teams. Jung Dragons, come one down!

Let the nWo die it's long overdue death. (this coming from a guy who owns three different nWo shirts!)

Meet your new top 4 guys:Benoit, Jericho, RVD, and Latino Heat. Goodbye height, hello talent.

The WWF needs a hero. All they've had for the past four years is the anti-hero. I'm getting tired of having the so called "good guys" do the same dastardly acts as the "bad guys". Now, that doesn't mean I want to go back to the perfect face and totally evil, vile heel that was used in the eighties, but damnit, I want to cheer for a good guy! I want to cheer for someone with integrity, who doesn't turn on everybody for no reason, who doesn't treat every other living being like shit. Now, in order to get someone like that over with the fans they would have to build him up as a major badass. Think of Batman. He lives by a very strict moral code, but if you mess with him he will lay a whippin' on you like you wouldn't think possible.

Or something like that.

Invasion: Take Two.

Scott Hall comes back, and Flair and The Big Show turn on them making the NWO faces. The NWO cut promo's talking about how they were sent by Vince to kill the competition of Flair's beloved WCW.

Flair wants to destroy the WWE as revenge. To do that, he's gonna get him the title.

Flair sends Big Show after Hogan, but Show and Hogan are friends so he doesn't like the idea, and eventually Hogan turns Big Show face.

Taker and Flair team up, Taker saying that he's gonna ride out of this damn company taking the belt with him.

Flair riles up all the former WCW guys saying they're never gonna get a fair shake because Vince still sees them as WCW hacks. He doesn't respect them, and he never will until they prove their worthy of being respected.

So Booker T attacks Jericho. DDP attacks HHH.

Austin wants revenge against Flair so they have a match and if Austin wins, he can get a shot at Undertaker but in the middle of the match Goldberg attacks him with a run in.

Buff Bagwell and Lex Luger come back and attack the Outsiders. Kronic come in for a week or two and attack The Acolytes.

And it's all set up. Big Show wants Undertaker, Hogan wants Flair. Undertaker lays down for Flair and Flair has the belt, Hogan comes in and challenges him for the final showdown. To see who's best. WCW or WWF, at King Of The Ring.

Hugh Morrus vs Edge
Billy Kidman vs Dean Malenko (or whoever the LH champ is?)
Kronic vs Acolytes
Booker T vs Chris Jericho
DDP vs HHH
Undertaker vs Big Show
Goldberg vs Stone Cold Steve Austin
Ric Flair vs Hulk Hogan

Now there's a card!

Invasion Take Two? PLEASE GOD NO

It's too late. It might also be too late for Goldberg, although if I were Vince, I'd probably want to give it a shot.

I don't think it's a situation where they should be looking to find the One Big Angle that can save everything. The whole system is so dysfunctional that, even if you come up with a great Big Angle, it's impossible to pull it off because of all the various problems. I think the Invasion proved that very dramatically.

The main need is to make the hierarchy a lot less rigid. Let "main eventers" fight "mid-carders", or even "lower-carders". When they do fight, let the "lower level" guys get a lot of offense in... occasionally, even let one win! Right now, no one even gets a chance to get over except the people who already are.

I think it's probably also time to move away from the idea that every match we see must have a plotline reason to exist. This would make it easier to have matches between people in different places on the "ladder". It would also mean fewer backstage skits, and less of a role for the commissioners.

And, I think they need to have heels win more without cheating. I feel like this would make matches and feuds a lot more interesting, and would also mean fewer run-ins.

Also, they need to dump such relics of the Monday Night Wars era as the "moments ago" segments and the Fans, Make Sure You Don't Miss The Big Surprise At the End of the Show Game.

I think the WWF first neds to come up with a good storyline to bring a new main eventer up. A good main event storyline can carry your promotion for one or even two years with no complaints as long as all parties involved get theirs in the end. For example, Austin vs McMahon (the original) carried WWF television for almost two years and stayed fresh. Others, like Foley, Rock Triple H were still elevated in the mean time, and there were several smaller stories tied in in the main event scene, but that was what all shows were based around. Another example is the NWO in WCW. If they had handled the blowoff right instead of never jobbing NWO mambers, WCW could have lived off that for years.

Then, they need to establish midcard stables. While it makes sense for main eventers to stay solo, lower card guys should join up in groups. Stables open so many possibilities- interstable feuds, guys within stables turning, etc.
