| #1 Posted on 27.9.02 1349.01 | It appears that Awesome, Stasiak, and Horace Hogan (did anyone actually know he was signed to begin with) have been given their notice. Hopefully Awesome goes to wherever Masato Tanaka is, so perhaps he can recapture the magic he had in late '99. As for Stasiak and Horace, maybe they can join David Sammartino in the 'I'm related to a former World Champion but I suck' Tour Across the Netheregions.

1. Jacqueline and Terri's love slave 2. The moron who runs into things 3. The nutcase who thinks he's from his own planet

Wait! That's it! Maybe... maybe those three gimmicks are tied together!
Maybe, after being a love slave, he needed to forget, but instead of drinking, he opted to give him self a concussion by running into things, and it worked, but his brains ended up getting scrambled, and he started coming up with imaginary planets and bad poetry!
YES! I solved the mystery!

Thanks for the correction. I had forgotten the exact circumstances. I knew it had something to do with recording conversations.

Awesome didn't get a fair chance, because of politics. As soon as Undertaker said he couldn't work, the writing was on the wall and he would never break past jobber. See also: Page, Diamond Dallas

Fuck Heyman. Why did anyone expect Mike Awesome to kill himself nightly working bingo halls and dilapitated civic centers for bullshit money (if any). WCW offered a professional enviornment, television exposure, solid schedule and guaranteed money (Paul had trouble paying people, remember). Joining WCW allowed him to ascend in his profession.
Romanticizing ECW may be great for fans, but I like to get paid when I go to work.

I don't think anyone would argue Awesome's right to want to leave ECW. It is the way that Awesome chose to leave that was screwed up. Just up and leave, without notice, and possibly taking the ECW title with him? That is simply unprofessional.
What Awesome should've done is given Heyman two weeks notice. Said, "Look, Paul, I have an offer from WCW, I am going to go there. They can afford to pay me, I won't have to take as many risks, and it'll be better for my career."
Paul would've shaken Mike's hand, wished him luck, and set up a great match where Awesome could do the professional thing and drop the ECW title to Dreamer or Credible.

| #20 Posted on 28.9.02 0249.37 | Instant Rating: 4.52 | I agree with you, Miguelito, about Awesome, and I'm speaking as a WCW fan. When Mike Awesome first arrived on the WCW scene (challenging Kevin Nash) I didn't know who he was, other than the fact that he was the ECW World Champion. When I found out the circumstances of his departure I lost respect for him very quickly. Although... I thought his Career Killer gimmick was awesome. Everything else following his Career Killer gimmick was WrestleCrap material (and I think some of it actually is WrestleCrap). Stasiak and Horace Hogan released? Can't say I'll miss 'em. Although Stasiak (wrestling under only his last name) has been a pretty good performer in my EWR 1.4 slot, as a member of The Flock in WWE. “Now put that thing back where it came from or so help me-- Oh, hey!
