I was a big fan of High Voltage when WCW was around.

I think they could have become great tag team champions.

What more needs to be said?

This is hands down the best post I've ever seen. We could all learn a lot from marciaflamme.

Whaddya mean? Kenny Kaos was 1/2 of the WCW Tag Team Champs with Rick Steiner.

But High Voltage were great. I rank them up there with The Mulkey Brothers, The Cole Twins, The Ding Dongs, and The State Patrol as true greats.

The more I think about it they weren't even on the same page as Men At Work, The Young Patriots, or The Master Blasters.

With the sad state of tag team wrestling currently, if they were coming up now that would have a good shot, but back then i dont think they fared well because they were just too short.

They were short but muscular looking so it wouldn't really mather.

Long before High Voltage, there was a team in WCW that consisted of two muscular, Road Warrior rip-offs. I think that their name was The Wrecking Crew, but I could be wrong, seeing how Mike Enos and Wayne Bloom were the "new" Minnesota Wrecking Crew.

Does anyone remember this team and their individual names? I know they had a story in The Wrester about how they were going to destroy the Road Warriors.

Nope, although I remember Disorderly Conduct was another team at the same time. Turns out it was the Texas Hangmen (obsessedwithwrestling.com). Helps that they were masked under that persona and not as Disorderly Conduct.

I seem to remember reading at one point somebody convincing the brass to keep them around for just that reason...you got two jobber tag teams in one. I want to say it was Cornette, although I'm not entirely sure if he was with the company at that point.

It was Rage and Fury, the Wrecking crew. Marc Laurentis and Al Green. Marc was later the Terminator, while Al was famous as Master Blaster Blade.

High Voltage were held down by Bunkhouse Buck and Dick Slater: truly, they were the Triple H of mid 90's WCW Tag Teams.

I've been listening to my gut since I was fourteen. And I've come to the conclusion that, frankly, my guts have shit for brains.

Last night on a Howard Stern replay they had a episode on with Iron Sheik and it was amazing. He went off on Hogan, Savage (this was pre-death), B Brian Blair, Ultimate Warrior, Bubba the Love Sponge. Sounded similar to Stansbury Alum's review.
