Part One:

So Waylon's gone and Johnny Cash might be soon. And Willie Nelson keeps going and going and going . . . I think he'll live forever.

Are there any Waylon fans out there who can recommend their favorite or what they think is the best Waylon CD?

Part Two:

Does anyone have any info about the Ultimate Warrior's WWF theme song (name, where I can get a hold of it, etc.)? I caught the Warrior/Savage match on Excess and heard the song and it made me remember how bad-ass I thought it was back in the day.

What I liked about Waylon while growing up was his narration of The Dukes of Hazzard. He looked like a major ass-kicker.

Wow! Waylon and the Warrior. That's...a...peculiar mixture.

Anyhoo - Waylon's album output was...spotty. Honestly, I LUV Waylon but his albums tend to be an acquired taste and are usually pretty difficlut to find from his peak-period, anyway. (Old School Country tends to not always be available album-wise other than the Best Of deals.)

If you're a music snob, you'll hate this suggestion but - pick up one of his Greatest Hits albums, preferably The Essential and go from there.

Waylon was a great one. He'll be missed.

Long may you ride, Waylon!

I agree with Ed in terms of most of Waylon's work. However, I would strongly recommend picking up both "Wanted: The Outlaws" with Willie and my personal favorite, "Lonesome, On'ry and Mean." I think both of these albums are relatively easy to find and shouldn't cost an arm and a leg to acquire. Of course, that may change now that Waylon has passed away.

Remember that time at SummerSlam when Honky Tonk Man was supposed to wrestle Brutus Beefcake for the Intercontinental Title, but Brutus got hurt and Honky didn't have an opponent? So he was all like "Get me somebody out here to wrestle" and then Waylon totally ran out all pumped up and clotheslined Honky like three times and then pinned him and won the title and then ran back to the locker room? Everybody was surprised.

Man, Waylon was SO awesome back then.

Check out the first "Highwayman." It's Waylon, Willie, Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson making an album together. While I question the inclusion of Kristofferson as opposed to, say, Merle Haggard (the real original outlaw) the album is one of the best country albums of the eighties.

I just ran across a CD tonight called " Honky Tonk Heros ".
It has Waylon , Willie , Kristofferson , and Bille Joe Shaver doing all Billie Joe Shaver songs . It's awesome !
If you're a fan of any one of these artist , buy it if you ever run across it , you won't be disappointed .
On top of that , it was in the bargin bin for 6.99 . Unbelievable . I was looking over my shoulder for the law when I left the store because I stole that one .
