What can I say? 20th Century Fox should just lock this piece of crap up in a vault right now and cut their losses. Bill Murray is funny but he is just NOT Garfield. Be afraid, be very afraid.
Proof of crappiness:
The Trailer opens with Risky Business music. The cat dances. I rest my case.

All the strips are done by hacks, and Jim Davis gets paid to put his name on it. That's why the strip hasn't been funny for about 8 years. He's loan out the character for almost any endorsement. I can just see the Hollywood version of Calvin and Hobbes with a shitty CGI Hobbes, Calvin played by the kid who was Anakin in Phantom Menace, and the movie being all shitty CGI special effects and horrible Spaceman Spiff space battles. I am praying to all dieties out there that Bill never lets anything like the shit I just saw on this Garfield trailer happen--luckly I know he won't. Sheesh, and I remeber when Garfield used to be good.

Yeah, for real, Watterson has publicly ripped Davis for his whoring out of Garfield's likeness. Thank God we can just sit back and bask in the comic nirvana that C&H was.
And by the way, this movie is going to SUCK. BADLY. Barbwire Mike said it well; Garfield is a surly, jittery, ornery cat. He is the farthest thing from a party animal...this really pisses me off that the movie is even being made. Doesn't Jim Davis have enough money?
