This was mostly a building block episode with a lot of filler.

We finally got the return of Andrea, and everyone pretty much acted how I would act if Andrea came wandering back which was was pretty great to see. I'm not sure what her big plan was, and neither were they as they pretty much chopped her peace plan up faster than the put an ax to a zombie's skull.

There was finally talk of food and ammo supplies, which makes me happy. Also Michone suddenly seems more useful and a part of the group. It's amazing what a few lines and a little acceptance will do to a character.

Merle tossed out a few much needed olive branches softening his character up a little as well. I don't expect him to have a full on turn around, but it's good to see he doesn't have to be a dick all of the time. Merle's sitdown and swapping Bible verses with Herschel wasn't quite John Locke meeting Mr Eko, but it gave us a good look at what the Governor is all about.

Woodbury is building an army, your mileage on that may vary. I was very disappointed to see Tyresee become a part of the town as I had really high hopes that he would improve Rick's group.

I am looking forward to the Rick/Michone pairing next week.

Zombie curb stomp was a nice gory visual, I still liked last week's hatchback smash better though.

Everyone not in the prison can eat a bullet. Andrea finally showed her real colors. Wormy scientist guy showed he is more wormy than we originally thought. And fuck you, Tyrese. You know full well there is a baby there and you are going to give these guys the blueprints to the prison. Its not like Rick shot at them or anything. They just booted them out for their own safety. Unfortunately, I see almost all the heroes biting it at the end of the year.

If you are going to have Tom Waits sing the awesome Hold On to end the show, than I could have done without old girl singing it. The writers like Tom Waits? SHOCKING.

Meh, I thought it was cool when the girl was singing. I actually had to scan my memory banks as to if it was a cover originally. It's cool to hear him on national television.

Hey, maybe it's a hint that he'll join the show as cast later.

Also, Andrea is stupid, don't even bother killing the Governor in his sleep, you just know that dude sleeps with one eye open.

A while back I suggested that the show had miscast the Lori and Andrea actresses, and perhaps this is why we didn't like Lori. Nope. Andrea is now Lori v.2, and I'm actively rooting for her to die.

Michonne misdiagnosed the "messiah complex." She should know Andrea has a satellite complex; she wants nothing more than to orbit a bright star. Her sister, Dale, Shane, Michonne, The Governor. She wants to be led about. She tried to be her own person this week, and everyone seemed cruel and icky, and there's Pirate Phil in Woodbury (let's all deliver our "burying wood" joke here). Of course everyone seems icky and mean when you're sitting in comfort and letting someone else make the decisions. And she told Milton everything because she's a dunce. I hope the Governor story ends with Andrea stabbing him in the head, ending his threat and finding her resolve.

And they are trying much too hard with Milton. His demeanor, his clothes, his vocabulary. We get it. He's a dweeb. And he's just like Andrea. He happily takes the beta role to the alpha dog. That allows you the luxury of preserving your pre-walker identity.

Speaking of ... Carol. I love Carol. Never more than during her suggestion to Andrea. This is someone who has lost everything without going insane. Yet.

Merle is gonna turn on them to win back his place, and the Governor is gonna feed him to a U-Haul of Walkers.

I really, REALLY want Merle to become a trickster-like character - someone who disappears for a while, and then randomly shows up, Sometimes he'll screw with the Ricktatorship, sometimes with Woodbury... you know, just generally stir shit up for his own amusement, maybe even with his own small band of chaos-rousers.

I don't think it'll happen, but if it did, I think it would be awesome.

Carol should lead the group. They know her (unlike Michonne). She's quick, smart, able, and stable (unlike Rick or Glen or Herschel). She has no conflicts of interest or distractions (like Maggie or Carl or Daryl). She's earned the chance.

Which is funny because in the comic she was a total basketcase.

Well, here's the deal. I WASN'T gonna do this because after all, I am on VACATION. ESPECIALLY when I saw that it was just shy of 400 listings this week.
