Okay, so this is my work computer, and it's a little worrisome...I'd say about once a day, I would get a full screen pop up advertising a retail store, or anti-virus software, or something. It's not related to any specific website, and sometimes just happens for no reason. Today, a pornographic one popped up, freaking me out completely.

I think it's something resident in my memory, that I can't get rid of via clearing files or cache. I haven't done anything like to go to an adult website with this computer, so I don't know where that would have come from.

I am wondering if anyone has any advice before I inevitably have to call the internal help desk and have my web surfing scrutinized(which would involve nothing illicit, though I have spent many an afternoon doing nothing but surfing).

Sounds like you've got the almighty spyware on your machine. Go to Lavasoft (lavasoftusa.com) and download AdAware Personal to help you out.

I was just in Denver this week for a few days. Of course, I didn't find the city that exciting, other than T-Rex, which absolutely destroyed the flow of traffic.
