Originally posted by Uproxx Vince creating his personal property for business projects is the type of thing somebody does before they sell their main company. I don’t know. For a long time, people have talked about Vince selling the company. I always thought Vince wouldn’t want to sell the wrestling company because it’s like his life. He may not, but at the same time but when that UFC sale went for $4 billion, all of a sudden the game changed. If they could get anything close to $4 billion, and they couldn’t, but I think Vince would be out in a heartbeat because the number is so big.
If it does happen, my hope is that the company goes to Disney (why not, they're on a spending spree as of late) ...
After all, WWE's intellectual property (i.e. the wrestler’s personas) have already crossed over with the likes of the Jetsons ... Can you imagine a WWE/Futurama animated movie? Or WWE/Guardians of the Galaxy?
Sure, they would probably be dumb, but I want it to become canon, dammit!
The Mark Cuban/NJPW rumor is a thing I am interested in. If Vince sells it, it will have to through the SEC as it's a publicly traded company even if it's name only. The Rock is the only one I care to see own it. I would say it's a $500 million value.
Out of curiosity, has there been a disclosed percentage of stock is owned by the McMahons and how much is “public”? I can’t help but think they only ever released a token amount to the public.
@StevenPDunne - sporadic tweets about wrestling that are a waste of your time.

Yep. Vince personally owns 46%, Stephanie owns 2.5%, Linda owns 0.7% and HHH owns 0.1%, so the family owns 49.3% of the company. Other executives without the company own another 1.8%, meaning 48.9% is owned by the "public". (Those #s are a year old, so they could have changed slightly in 2017.)
While I've heard the rumblings discussed here, I've also heard the theory that the WWE wanted to unload the XFL so Vince created his new company to allow him to maintain ownership of that property.

The McMahons own far more powerful (B) shares with 10 times the voting powers as the non McMahon (A) shares. So, for example
In fact, Vince could sell a large portion of his shares and still maintain control of WWE. He could sell about 15 million shares of his stock (today valued at roughly $296 million), and leave himself with about 22 million shares and still have 51% of the company’s voting power.
I hate to be thinking in terms of his ethnicity, but LAX was very over when they had Konnan to talk for them, and Estrada could fit very well into that role.
