Less than 20 hours to the opening of the PPV, and no one's started a predictions thread. Man, that TNA knows how to build excitement! You think it has something to do with the fact that they think it's more important to get Jenna from Survivor on the card than Awesome Kong, Sabin, Shelley, Lethal, or the X division belt?

Kurt Angle vs. Mick Foley for the TNA title

Angle. No reason to give the title back to Foley.

Sting vs. Samoa Joe

Joe. Gotta build him up. Plus he'll probably get some sort of help from Taz.

A.J. Styles vs. Kevin Nash for the "Legends" title

Styles. Nash doesn't need a belt and wouldn't be able to defend it much.

Beer Money vs. Scott Steiner & Booker T for the tag titles

Steiner & Booker. OK, I've been predicting all these logical booking decisions, so I have to remember this is TNA. Beer Money, 3-D, and the British Invasion have a nice three-way thing going. They'd be crazy to break that up just to protect two guys who between them have a gazillion tag titles. I'm thinking that's just the kind of crazy they'd be. They'll put something together where they're gunning for Styles because he has the last title the MEM doesn't control (except for the X Division title and the women's title, which don't count). Plus they'll have Booker mad at Steiner over Jenna beating Sharmell because TNA LOVES those feuding tag partners. TNA: Tagteams Never Agree!

Tara (Victoria) vs. Angelina Love for the TNA women's title

Tara. Too soon for a change.

Matt Morgan vs. Daniels

Morgan.

Abyss vs. Dr. Stevie (Richards)

Abyss.

Jenna Morasca vs. Sharmell

Jenna wins the incredibly stupid women's match through MEM shenanigans. This might have some slight resemblance to a good idea if there were a face in this matchup to generate sympathy.

They're also going to have Bobby Lashley make his debut, because it's been long enough since the last time he made his debut at a PPV that no one remembers he was there.

EDITED TO ADD (Thanks, Karlos):

Team 3-D vs. The British Invasion for the IWGP tag titles

I'm going to say the Brits, although likely in a way that doesn't change the titles (DQ or something).

This is a really strange card, full of matches where I'm all, "[WRESTLER X] might have an okay match if [WRESTLER Z] can drag it out of him" -- there's not much where I feel like, "oh, those two guys will work well together."

Also, this is either going to be "Main Event Mafia blows their matches and start falling apart" or "Main Event Mafia wins all the belts and holds them until Bound for Glory." I'm leaning towards the latter, which is kind of ehhhhh, but on the other hand I'd rather see Main Event Mafia soundly and spectacularly defeated than just crumble apart.

Kurt Angle vs. Mick Foley for the TNA title
Angle.

Sting vs. Samoa Joe
Joe.

A.J. Styles vs. Kevin Nash for the "Legends" title
Nash, with help.

Beer Money vs. Scott Steiner & Booker T for the tag titles
Steiner & T.

Plus they'll have Booker mad at Steiner over Jenna beating Sharmell because TNA LOVES those feuding tag partners.
Jenna's not Steiner's freak, though.

Tara vs. Angelina Love for the TNA women's title
Tara.

Matt Morgan vs. Daniels
Morgan.

Abyss vs. Dr. Stevie
Dr. Stevie, with help from some new monster (or a Lauren heel turn).

Jenna Morasca vs. Sharmell
No contest -- some sort of swerve where Jenna and Sharmelle were in it together ALL ALONG in order to...ambush Awesome Kong?

Peter, you missed:
Team 3D vs. the British Invasion for the IWGP titles
Team 3D by DQ when BI beats the crap out of them with international objects.

They're also going to have Bobby Lashley make his debut, because it's been long enough since the last time he made his debut at a PPV that no one remembers he was there.
I remember! Who can forget...THE POINT!!!

On paper one of the most predictable and kinda boring PPVs of the year for TNA. Still, it will be better then Night of Champions which has paint by numbers booking all over it.

Kurt Angle vs. Mick Foley for the TNA title

Kurt, but I expect MEM, Jarrett and Lashley to get involved.

Sting vs. Samoa Joe

Samo Joe with Taz's help.

A.J. Styles vs. Kevin Nash for the "Legends" title

Nash just to get it off of AJ to go after Joe or the world title.

Beer Money vs. Scott Steiner & Booker T for the tag titles

You really can't have a PPV where the heels constantly goes over unless its Backlash 2002. I say Beer Money, because they are an actually tag team.

Tara (Victoria) vs. Angelina Love for the TNA women's title

Angelina. I expected Tara getting the title early was due to contract neogations or for a nice fell good moment. Beautiful People is the best thing going on the show, so give them the belt.

Matt Morgan vs. Daniels

Daniels. I am thinking the Morgan push ends with a thud.

Abyss vs. Dr. Stevie (Richards)

Abyss. I expect Raven and the ladies to get involved to finally end this feud.

Jenna Morasca vs. Sharmell

Who Cares? I can't believe they are bumping the X-Division or Jarrett/Eric Young for this match. I am sensing a Sharmell win with MEM help using the excuse they were using Jenna for her money and now she is worthless. Plus, her boyfriend or husband has cancer, so I expect her to leave soon anyway.

What an underwhelming card. Wow.

Mick Foley d. Kurt Angle, but by DQ or some shenanigans. I bet Jarrett will get involved somehow.

Samoa Joe d. Sting. Just because....I dunno.

Nash d. AJ Styles. Who cares about the "Legends" title anyway? It looks cooler than the TNA Heavyweight belt, if anything.

Beer Money d. Steiner T, just because Beer Money is the established team. Are they faces? I never could figure that out.

Tara d. Angelina Love. Shenanigans ensue with the newest Knockouts, and the Beautiful People developing rifts.

Morgan d. Daniels - just to give the MEM some more muscle. Maybe Morgan becomes an "official" member of the Mafia now.

Dr. Stevie d. Abyss. Is this Richards' first match in TNA?

Sharmell d. Jenna - who cares? Lotjx is right on the money, wondering why they're pushing crap like this when they could be showing an X-division match. I'd love to see Homicide vs. Suicide (that'd be a cool team, right? Right?) or Lethal Consequences.

Raven is not in the company. He and Shane were there just for the one month because they wanted an entire PPV of old vs. young, or youngER I guess since Daniels isn't that young.

I don't think this card is underwhelming at all. Karlos is right that some matches depend on a good worker trying to raise another but you can't have Daniels and AJ wrestle Kurt and Joe every week. At some point you've gotta go for some new match ups.

Out of the question marks I think Kurt getting something out of Foley is the most likely to happen. Joe vs. Sting can be really good. Beer Money and Steiner/Booker looked great together on Impact, 3D/British Invasion can be really good, so can Tara/Love and Stevie and Abyss can have a good match even though I don't care about the story.

AJ/Nash might not be great but you know AJ is going to do as much as he can. I'm not sure how well Morgan/Daniels mesh but I'm interested since I like Daniels. Nobody cares about Sharmell/Jenna but that's really the only match I see as completely worthless. Plus, I think they could still easily add something with MCMG/Suicide/Homicide or maybe they even add a Sarita/Melissa rematch.

All indications are this was a historically bad PPV.

Alvarez is threatening to give a match (I assume Sharmell/Jenna) -*****.

I only saw the first match and it was barely average.

From reading the recap, it sounded horrible. And TAZ shows up. I don't follow TNA closely enough to know if this was his debut or not, but it seems a bit silly for him to leave a decent paying gig, to go to TNA to work.
