TNA KNOCKOUTS MATCH
Gail Kim vs. Angelina Love

This is the highest-profile match for Love thus far, right? Love wins via Skyference.

KNOCKOUTS WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP
Taylor Wilde vs. Awesome Kong

Wilde retains, either by DQ, botched Saeed interference, or successful Roxxi interference. If it's either of the latter two, perhaps Kong will feud with either Saeed or Roxxi to keep Kong away from the title for a while.

Jay Lethal w/ SoCal Val vs. Sonjay Dutt
Val turns on Lethal and Dutt wins. Lethal flips out and beats down the children. (not really)

WORLD X CUP TOURNAMENT
Featuring the return of TNA's innovative Ultimate X Match
Plus, a World X Cup Elimination Match
Team TNA vs. Team Japan vs. Team Mexico vs. Team International

I'm not sure how the Elimination Match is going to work, but I'll say that Team International wins it, and then Kaz wins the Ultimate X to bring home the cup. (I still think there's a chance that Team International wins it, though, depending on how many of them TNA has signed to contracts.)

FAN'S PICK THE STIP - SIX MAN TAG TEAM WAR:
AJ Styles, Christian Cage & Rhino vs. Kurt Angle & Team 3D

This will probably be a Full Metal Mayhem (TLC) match, and Styles will pin Devon to win it.

FAN'S REVENGE MATCH FOR THE TNA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
LAX vs. Beer Money

This one's really tough. LAX is still treading water, while Beer Money are the new hotness. I'll say LAX retains but it'll be a goofy finish and we'll get a rematch next month.

TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Samoa Joe vs. Booker T

Joe wins, and then beats Sting next month.

Good picks on the knockout matches. Love should probably follow up her win over Gail with a title feud so Taylor needs to retain to make it a heel vs. face matchup.

I know Kaz is the guy they are pushing and the most obvious guess is that he wins the match and the cup. But I'd still love to see Sabin get the Ultimate X match somehow and have them hype up his history in Ultimate X matches and winning the X Cup, only to have him lose to Team International. Then Team International goes over, Kaz doesn't have to lose the Ultimate X match and Kaz/Sabin could even argue over Sabin losing.

AJ pins Devon? So is TNA's version of the TLC match a pinning match and not a climbing ladder match? I can't remember seeing a Full Metal Mayhem match before.

Agreed on Joe. Beat Booker this month. Beat Nash on one of the next two PPVs. Then Sting at Bound for Glory.

I predict this show will suck balls.

The World X Cup matches might be fun, I guess.

Agh, you're right, it's been a climbing match in the past. But there's no belt involved -- what are they going to climb for this time? (Karen Angle?) AJ wins, in any case.

Really? It looks really good on paper, at least. Dopey booking could sink it, sure, but what the hell, I'll be optimistic.

Also, hey! No fair just cutting and pasting your predictions from last time!

Gail Kim vs. Angelina Love
Gotta say Kim wins this one. TNA's being using the Beautiful People rather well lately, but the time's not right for them to win on the big stage, especially considering how many times already during Impact they've gotten the upper-hand over Kim/ODB/Roxxy.

KNOCKOUTS WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP
Kong, Kong, Kong. I already mentioned how Taylor's upset win doesn't sit right with me, and really the only way to salvage something good from this was also mentioned in that thread - the fluke win was a shot across Kong's bow, possibly the beginning of the end but not the end itself. Kong DEMOLISHES Taylor to regain the championship.

Jay Lethal w/ SoCal Val vs. Sonjay Dutt
Black Machismo wins and Dutt vows revenge. Feud continues.

WORLD X CUP TOURNAMENT ELIMINATION MATCH
This tournament's a hard one to call. Team TNA is going to end up with the overall win, but the setup in the prior elimination match is pretty open. I'll go with Team Japan here.

WORLD X CUP TOURNAMENT ULTIMATE X
Team TNA picks up the ultimate victory here. (See what I did there???)

AJ Styles, Christian Cage & Rhino vs. Kurt Angle & Team 3D
Tricky one to call but since I don't see the whole "Angle/Karen/AJ" storyline slowing down any time soon, I'll go with Angle & 3D.

TNA TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
I don't really like or get LAX. That said, TNA seems to. Beer Money gets the victory here, setting up a rematch for either Justice/Bound for Glory where LAX will finally slay them.

TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Joe's gonna get the win here, but MAN I'd love to see Booker get it. He's been really solid in his TNA run so far, and has really stepped it up after having turned heel.

I don't know. The Booker T/Joe build has been poor, and I'm fairly negative on their chances of having a great match. The six-man will probably be good but it's a waste of the "Full Metal Mayhem" stip. The X Cup stuff should be cool, though.

Ladies and gentlemen, the following public service message is brought to you by your friends from D-Generation X, who would like to remind each and every one of you that if you're not down with that, we've got two words for you...

SAMOA JOE/BOOKER T: It's still way too soon to end Joe's reign, irregardless of what the ratings are like (especially since Spike is still happy and wanting to expand TNA's exposure). Joe wins and moves on to Nash or Angle next month. (I agree the Sting match should be saved for Bound for Glory, as both a passing of the torch moment and because Sting's won the last two times at BFG.)

FANS' REVENGE: The match gimmick and the nature of how Beer Money came together translates to LAX winning here and moving on to Team 3D next month. I'd program Beer Money with the Guns to build them up again for a future title reign and then break the two apart to chase Joe in the aftermath of Bound for Glory (the guy that dethrones Joe should be James Storm).

(ALL BUT OFFICIALLY) FULL METAL MAYHEM: Angle & Team 3D pick up a much needed win, as the AJ/Cage/Rhino collective have had their number on PPV for months now (especially Cage/Rhino, they're way overdue for a loss) and Angle/3D need to be propped up for another crack at Joe & LAX respectively as we kill time on the way to BFG.

WORLD X CUP TOURNAMENT: It's going to end in a tie between Team TNA & Team International, with Team TNA winning the Elimination match and Team International (vis-à-vis Doug Williams) winning the Ultimate X match to finalize the score at TNA 6, International 6, Mexico 3 and Japan 2 and necessitate a tiebreaker next month in, let's say, a Terrordome match. (Anyone who thinks Team Japan or Team Mexico has a chance, given that we're at the end of the tournament and they haven't even fully announced those teams yet, has gone bananas.)

JAY LETHAL/SONJAY DUTT: Two reasons to go with the Guru: 1) It's clearly the start of a long feud with no logical place for either guy to go in the aftermath right now, so Lethal winning makes no sense since it kills the feud dead right out of the gate; 2) There's the obvious opening for Val to turn heel on Lethal, and given that she made her name on the indy circuit AS a heel I've been wondering what's taken them so long to put her in that position anyway.

KNOCKOUT CHAMPIONSHIP: Taylor's gotta retain because they need to position other heels on the roster (namely, the Beautiful People) as threats to the title, which is impossible as long as Kong's holding it. It may be possible that this is simply retread of the Umaga/Santino Marella angle from last year and that it's only a matter of time before Kong gets the belt back, but still, three days in TV taping time is WAY too soon. So Kong either gets herself DQ'd or someone like Roxxi or ODB will give Taylor the assist.

GAIL KIM/ANGELINA LOVE: It's way past time for the Beautiful People to get a meaningful win on PPV, and if Russo screws them over again he's going to have a karmic debt to pay. Love wins, emphatically, but Kim gets saved from a paper-bagging afterwards.

While the switch from Cena to RVD should alleviate some complaints, the inevitability of the belt's return to Cena (note where Summerslam is this year) and the poor initial showing by the new ECW are enough to keep the indicator where it is for now. The pieces are in place, though, especially on RAW, for improvements to be made to the IWC's psyche in the near future.

Love and Wilde win and start a feud for the Knockouts title.

I don't get the X-CUP stuff. There's two matches, but only the second one matters? I will go with Team TNA winning the whole thing, so however it needs to be done so they will win the cup, so be it. I'll go with Team International in the first match if it's meaningless.

Fan's Revenge will suck and LAX will retain more than likely. Beer Money seems to be jobbing a whole lot lately for some reason. Hey, remember when Roode was feuding with Booker?

The 6 man match will be Full Metal Mayhem and the faces will win because Christian and Rhino should get a win over Team 3D and the Styles/Angle feud will probably continue anyways. I don't see anyone turning.

Lethal/Dutt has been a great feud but to say it's been predictable and stale as hell has been an understatement. But it has characters I care about, so I don't mind. looking forward to this one, and unfortunately I see the obvious happening again and Val turns on Lethal. Dutt wins.

Samoa Joe vs Booker T is a feud I can't figure out. BOOKER T is Samoa Joe's biggest challenge? Booker was jobbing to Roode a few months ago. Joe wins easily and moves onto Nash next month, while Booker and Sting feud.

To clarify for everyone, current score in the X Cup:

Team TNA - 3
Team Mexico - 3
Team International - 2
Team Japan - 2

The Elimination match will probably be a battle-royal-type thing (with 3 members from each team of 4 - and they've only shown 2 members of Team Mexico so far!) and is worth 3 points, while the Ultimate X match is worth 4 points.

Okay, I saw the TNA replay last night, and while I wasn't paying complete attention I could have sworn that they said the top THREE teams in the Elimination match would get points? As in, the first team eliminated gets zero, second team out gets a little, third team out gets a little more, and the winner gets some? Perhaps a 3-2-1-0 split? Did I hear wrong on that?

It sounded like to me that Tenay said the last 3 wrestlers get points.

If the TNA website explains this someplace, I can't find the link from their front page.

I was thinking that he might have just been selling the ankle lock too, but he was limping for a really long time after the cameras stopped rolling. He still appeared to be in pain even after beating up on Jericho.
