I would love to see Mr. Backlund run RAW for a bit. He was crazy/goofy in his last substantial run in WWE (not an act according to Chris Jericho's book) and good play off of his politician-aspirations. Just an idea.
Other than that, Chavo seems like the logical choice. He seems to have been cozying up to the position for the last several weeks. | supersalvadoran

If not him, then I would say that as long as the McMahons don't hog up TV time as GMs themselves, I'm fine with almost anybody.

The only way putting the belt on an injured Batista (on a show with two other world title changes, three if you count the ECW strap as a world title) makes even a tiny lick of sense is if they were determined to put the title on someone other than Orton, but not have Orton lose to that someone so as to heighten interest in future rematches. Of course, I'm not going to assume that this decision made even a tiny lick of sense.
I think having no visible GM for a while would be a nice change of pace. If they can't do that, I'd suggest having different people each as interim GM for a week as a sort of audition. Yeah, I still dig the "clipboard Raw" idea and this would be a way to do it. | Zeruel

Announced on ECW is a fourway for the belt on Monday's 3-hour Raw. Cena, Triple H, Big Show, and Orton

They did try that with Adamle, but he was in over his head. I agree that the evil GM has got to be shelved for now, maybe in exchange for an autonomous showman.
Sorry, what I meant was don't have no authority figure at all. Which I doubt will be the case.

He could play himself up as the smart guy bossing around the dumb jocks and generally be an ass in an amusing way. That said, he's also the best color guy they've got right now, so I'm not in a rush to get him out from behind the desk either.

Also, when needed, he can take a beating. More exposure for Striker would be great, however, i would rather see him moved up to color on Smackdown.

Did Vickie appear at any house shows? If so, I can see how her schedule would be exceptionally hectic. I'm not suggesting that being away from her family for a couple of days a week wouldn't be hectic, but her sched wouldn't nearly be as crazy as, say...anyone else who does the house show circuit as well as the main shows and PPVs.
With that said, I will miss her. I loved her character, and I admire her for putting family above everything else.

The problem with that is they'd need to redo the DVD and replace the awful Matt Striker/Maria segments with Savage himself telling his story.

I think Teddy is the only GM who has gone on the road, except when wrestlers were playing it like Angle and Regal. Heyman and Coach may have done a few. I don't think Vickie has ever done a house show. | | Pages: Prev 1 2
