You do NOT have to preserve the Zebra in the last Kaufman mission ("Cabmageddon") to obtain it. Once you've completed that mission, the Zebra will respawn periodically inside the Kaufman Cabs building. I blasted the Zebra with an Uzi (drive-by) and a friend blew it to hell with a rocket launcher during that mission, and we've both gotten dozens of Zebras in the Kaufman building since then.

Now, the trick is that due to a glitch of sorts in the way that Vice City handles vehicles, it's not always generated within Kaufman Cabs every time you visit. If it's not there, if you drive a short distance away and double back, very often it'll pop up. (The same thing happens with the helipad on top of your Downtown complex -- if the chopper's not there, go downstairs and run for a block or so, then come back. Instant chopper.) The Zebra's rather touchy in this respect; it may take a couple of attempts for it to appear, but it will.

I'm a periodic GTA:VC player but I have a question...

I need help with Death Row because man that level is a bitch! I always die before I can get Lance to the hospital...suggestions?

My strategy is to drive past everyone and behind the building they're keeping him in, then peek around the corning to take care of the guards right outside and inside. There might be a few others to pick off outside - and I think they rush you after you talk to Lance. After killing them, get in the Trash Van, whatever it's called - although I think the bad guys will get in it and drive away sometimes if you don't run them over on the way in. If you get in the Trash Van, you shouldn't have any trouble getting to the hospital unless you flip over. There's health up one of the ramps right in front of the bldg too if you need it.

That mission took me forever to beat too.

I fly a helicopter behind the junkyard. There's a gap in the piles of junk that you can fit through. From there I run to Lance, killing all in my way, then double back to the chopper when I get him. It works well, although sometimes the chopper disappears.

Death Row's a lot easier than it seems, if you do it right.

Step 1: Have a fast car (I prefer the Cheetah) sitting outside the club. Drive like a mad bastard to the alleyway leading to the junkyard.

When you get within visual range of the guards at the entrance, bail out of your car and let it squash a guard or two. Uzi or snipe the others at the entrance.

Step 2: Switch to your submachine gun and walk quickly, but efficiently through the yard. Whenever you see someone or hear gunfire, use autotarget - fire a few rounds - move on. This allows you to wade through piles of henchmen without having to stop and aim, wasting valuable time.

When you reach Lance, cut him loose, and either walk or take a handy vehicle back to the entrance. (Once you've got him on his feet, you no longer have to hurry.)

Step 3: Remember the Cheetah you bailed from at the entrance? It's still there, and not too badly dented. Bailing out ensured that the guards wouldn't shoot it to ribbons on your way in.

Get in the Cheetah, and zoom past the incoming cars -- if you hang to the right of the alley, you'll generally get by untouched. They'll go one way, you'll go the other, and by the time they've got a clue as to what happened you'll be halfway up the highway and on your way to the hospital.

Voila. Some of the later missions (The Driver in particular) make Death Row seem like Romper Room.

This mission is so open ended so let me give you my take. I load up on magnum bullets and stop by the Hooker Hotel to get a rocket launcher . Start the mission cruise over there and blow up the road block. Auto lock and pop the bad guys. Then to get away use the awesome trashmaster which no car can budge or explode.
