Viacom To YouTube: Pull Our Clips Now By Anne Becker -- Broadcasting & Cable, 2/2/2007 11:24:00 AM
Viacom today said it demanded that YouTube pull more than 100,000 clips of its programming off the popular video sharing site. Viacom said that after months of discussions, YouTube is unwilling to come to a fair market agreement for the content.
I have to admit I don't watch a lot of Nickelodeon, MTV or VH-1 on YouTube, but I hope Viacom doesn't try to get every cool music video I've ever found taken off of there just because they happen to have some MTV chyron or one of their crappy network bugs in a corner.
This sucking fucks. I don't get why the companies care if they're stuff is on youtube they don't lose any money and they just get more people watching it who will watch or buy the real thing. Like if i wanna watch a seinfeld ep on youtube I may be like "Oh this show smokes ass" and go buy the dvds
We just did some printer maintainance at work, and knowing how much all our cartridges cost, I was able to have a surprisingly intelligent conversation with the Rhinotek saleslady who called today.
