This would be the greatest double feature I can imagine.

The Arrested Development movie being almost a done deal has been talked about for a couple months, with most of the talk centering around Michael Cera not being as keen on doing the movie as the rest of the cast, all of whom are apparently gung ho about it. Mitch Hurwitz will write the screenplay and Ron Howard will direct (and narrate).

Then, today, the icing on the cake in the form of an additional second cake. Rob Thomas says he's starting a Veronica Mars script and talking to the cast.

I think both shows have unfinished business for different reasons. Veronica because it not only kind of fizzled out over the last season, but it never did a proper ending. Arrested was at the top of its game throughout, but they're kind of obligated to do the movie to pay off the last lines in the series.

Season three of Veronica Mars was great. I'd take the increased Vinnie Van Loweage over Rita.

I thought the first part with all the raping was great (who wouldn't?), but by the time they got to single episode mysteries only and Veronica-Piz it was kind of like, hmm. Paul Rudd was good though.

Agreed, the rapist storyline was very good, and I even liked the noirish elements of Ed Begley's murder. But after that, the rest of the season was pretty much stand-alone episodes and it wasn't nearly as interesting. I would absolutely go see a movie.

Skinner: Well, I was wrong. The lizards are a godsend.
Lisa: But isn't that a bit short-sighted? What happens when we're overrun by lizards?
Skinner: No problem. We simply release wave after wave of Chinese needle snakes. They'll wipe out the lizards.
Lisa: But aren't the snakes even worse?
Skinner: Yes, but we're prepared for that. We've lined up a fabulous type of gorilla that thrives on snake meat.
Lisa: But then we're stuck with gorillas!
Skinner: No, that's the beautiful part. When wintertime rolls around, the gorillas simply freeze to death!

My biggest problem with season 3 of Veronica Mars is that Keith, Wallace, Mac and Weevil were used sparingly. Then they bring in two new characters and they are barely used too. Season 3 was pretty much Veronica/Logan 24/7 and when it was just the two of them all the time you started to see their glaring faults that were previously hidden by mainly Keith and Wallace. It was like there was nobody likable on the show anymore.

That's a much better critique than "Wah! Stand-alone episodes!" Sadly, the limited use of Wallace/Weevile/Mac (I think Keith was still in most episodes) were because of budgetary reasons, of course.

I mean, it seems as valid as "Woo! Ken Marino!" What's wrong with missing any sense of the larger stakes that made the show especially compelling? I would've been happy with that format if it meant the show would continue on. But I also feel like it is not an unreasonable complaint, along with Veronica and Logan getting into dumb fights all the time for no reason, Mac and that gross dude, killing Don Lamb OUT OF NOWHERE~! with zero impact, and other things a person might consider less good than they was at the beginning of the season.

Sure, but was it also too expensive to give him anything to do all year except being in a prisoner experiment and that time he cheated on a test or something?

This was a better Batman movie than some Batman movies. Enjoyed it. They started to lose me a little toward the end. Funny how you never see or hear the word LEGO in the LEGO movie.
