PAS: So I figure that the syndies are going to be net shows we should start doing workrate reports on them. Plus this was a fun Velocity to end its run.
TKG: Godspeed young Velocity
PAS: Heaven needed a syndie
TKG: Last time Spanky worked in the WWF, he was being harassed by Holly and Bradshaw for not working on his upper body. He returns to the WWF with even less "polish" and no tan. This was really good. Liked the focused heelish head attack. This was worlds better than Spanky vs. Alex Shelley from ROH.
PAS: I enjoyed the Russell Simpson v. Kendrick match more then I have really enjoyed any recent Def Jam releases. I remember Simpson really stinking in his previous jobber matches, but he looked good here. I guess if Takada can train a guy to beat Gracies, he can train a guy to work as a tolerable syndie jobber. I kind of want to get their Hustle matches now, I imagine that Kendrick and Yingling the Erotic Terrorist v. Simpson and Razor Ramon Hard Gay might be kind of good.
PAS: Christ speaking of Razor Ramon Hard Gay what the fuck is Vito wearing? This was a blast even with some awkward parts, and Crazy almost Hayabusing himself on the shitty WWE ropes. For someone who never worked that style, Psicosis is a great fucking Ricky Morton. Firing Palumbo and Stambolli and hiring Vito makes no sense to me at all. I actually think Vito might be the least of the Baldies, I know PN News lives in Europe and DeVito is really short, but can't you at least get Angel?
TKG: With Jake Roberts under legends contract, you really don't need Kilo. Last week they worked this with Crazy working most of the body and Psicosis as hot tag, this time they switch roles. When will I get to see Juve wrestle? Juve has enough schtick that he could be a really great ass Andy Barrow pissing off the fans on the floor. But the Mexicools are faces now. Using Juve as a slightly taller Que Monito makes no sense.
What Didn't Work
PAS: It pains me to put a Regal match down here, but he can't save this mess. Burchill isn't as bad as the real sludge on the RAW side, but he may be the shittiest guy on Smackdown. Scotty 2 Hotty may have been the second best guy in the match, and I enjoyed his Baba chop, he is clearly a guy who knows where his next check is coming from when they do the round of syndie cancellation firings. I did however think it was really disrespectfull for Funaki to last so long in the Fujiwara armbar, makes me think there was some legit heat there. He is your Sensei you quick tap to his fucking move.
TKG: That was the shittiest Fujiwara arm bar ever. Funaki gave it more respect than it deserved. Tapping to that was disrespectful to Fujiwara. Scotty Two-Hotty threw better forearms and European uppercuts than Burchill. I mean Helmsley sucks, but Burchill may be the shittiest Regal tag partner since Big Daddy. Burchill's ridiculous flying highbackdrop take of armdrags from tiny guys really is business exposing. thats supposed to be a leverage move, you dumb ass. Steve Romero may be a giant idiot (two weeks ago he referenced chameleons in the "veldebt" ) but he is the one radio guy that WWE has who I think may eventually become useful. I was impressed by his ability to cover for Burchill.
Probably a stupid question (they do indeed exist, especially from me), but in compling the SD Line for tonight, I'm wondering if anyone can tell me who Morgan's unnamed opponent was, or where I might start looking. Ortega R S Jr
