Argh, argh, argh. I saw this movie. It rocked. And now I read this:
It's too bad that Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust was disqualified due to a technicality (the paperwork was reportedly never received by the Academy).
From IGNFilmForce, when trying to decide best animated picture. Argh Argh Argh. I loved this movie, and will probably buy it sometime soon (after I buy a DVD player, most likely), but to hear that it can't win a little gold statue because of botched paperwork. ARGH!
I liked this movie much more than the original. Bloodlust just flowed, and it was really fun to watch. If you haven't seen it, I encourage you to rent it or buy it. If you're an anime fan, it's well worth it.
Based on what you've said you've liked, ScottLadd, I'll recommend (and I do this for a living! You can trust me!): Nine Queens (Argentinian con game film) Dead or Alive (over-the-top Japanese gangster film)
