| #2 Posted on 13.10.08 1334.46 | Interesting, looks like it will be a reimagining of the original 2 part miniseries, which was extremely well done. I read a few years ago that Kenneth Johnson(original producer) had been trying to get a new series off the ground, that would include the original characters, just 20 years later.
I'll definitely be watching with the hope that this is more Battlestar Galactica and less Knight Rider. | CRZ

They should just reair "V" and "V: The Final Battle" - it'd cost a heck of a lot less and they'd probably be better off. ;-)

I concur. They'll never be able to replace Jane Badler as Diana. | SKLOKAZOID

That being said, casting Jessica Simpson as the bitchy backstabbing blonde lizard second in command would be great. She's got wierd shaped eyes and could probably take a whole mouse down her throat.

| #7 Posted on 13.10.08 1733.10 | Instant Rating: 6.79 | I caught a V Marathon on the Sci-Fi channel a few years ago, and I was really struck by how well the story held up some twenty year later. The special effects... not so much. As a child, I remember being terrified of the human-giving-birth-to-an-alien scene, only to realize upon re-watching that I had been terrified of a muppet.
The only listed actors on the IMDB site are Robert Englund as Willy the Vegetarian Lizard and Marc Singer as Mike Donovan. Those two castings alone are enough for me to give this a shot. And it's a mini-series, which also means it can't entirely ruin my childhood memory of the show like a long, drawn out, full-fledged TV show - unless, that is, it's Mike Donovan and Willy The Vegetarian Lizard fighting crime.

OMG, that gave me nightmares for weeks. Except for the ending, it has held up VERY well to me. I have the DVDs (including the TV show) and I want to re-watch it.

It was that moment that caused my parents to never allow me to watch another minute of "V" again. I still remember it pretty clearly.
I was also not allowed to watch "The Day After" about the nuclear attack. I guess I was a pretty sensitive kid.

The most hilarious thing about Tommy Dreamer is that everyone else in WWE, from Shelton Benjamin to dudes who haven't even debuted yet, has a T-shirt available. WWE doesn't even bother printing up a T-shirt for Tommy Dreamer, A MAN WHOSE GIMMICK IS WEARING A T-SHIRT WHILE WRESTLING. And why is that? Because not a god damn person would ever pay money for a Tommy Dreamer shirt. Not even his own mother. As a result he usually ends up wearing a shirt that says "WRESTLEMANIA 24" or "JUDGEMENT DAY." I think it's time for Tommy Dreamer to just print up a T-shirt that says "UPCOMING PAY PER VIEW"
