Just to throw in... I recently bought a 95 Saturn SL, 50,000 miles, standard shift, power nothing, no A/C, just a radio for $4,995.

Using a key to gouge expletives on another's vehicle is a sign of trust and friendship.

I'm going to interrupt and throw out a stopper here -- Hyundai's Santa Fe might not be the best *overall*, but IIRC, it did get a pretty good safety rating. That, plus you can find a base one for under $20K. Me? I'm waiting to pay off the college loans so I can get me the $25K loaded V6.

Or there's always the $47K Escalade with the, like, 5/11 city/highway MPG. :P
