Anybody pick up USACW on sattelite or are familiar with this promotion ?
It's an independant orginazation out of Nashville run by Bert Prentice . Perntice has been running various small promotions in the Nashville area for quiet some time . Lawler had been wrestling for him from time to time during his seperation from the WWF .Grandmaster did occasional shows also .
For the most part they have been low rent promotions with poor television production , but always alot of good young talent . That is until a week ago .
It seems the WWF may now be involved with this promotion .
One week ago in Nashville at the historic Tennessee State Fairgrounds , Lawler vs David Flair was the main event .
Jim Cornette and Scott Hudson have also been brought in to do television commentary .
During last weeks Saturday morning show Lawler was cutting a highly produced ( WWF type of production )promo for the match when Ric Flair stepped in .
This was a classic Lawler/Flair promo ! Unfuckinbeliveable !
Anyways , the match took place last saturday night with Lawler beating David Flair after giving him three piledrivers .
Apparently this didn't sit to well with the Nature Boy , because on this mornings show he cut a promo saying how he took offense to Lawler using three unnecessary piledrivers on his kid and how would he like it if he had his kid in the middle of the ring in Nashville with the FIGURE FOUR slapped on and wouldn't let go until his leg snapped . He also said that at some point he was going to get on his jet and fly into Nashville , WHOOOOO , and settle this thing between them AND their kids . CLASSIC FLAIR PROMO ! Dam* he's still got it !
So ,it appears that sometime in the near future , NATURE BOY is comming to town WHOOO !
Forgive me for getting carried away , but the prospect of Flair comming to Nashville to face Lawler and a Bert Prentice run promotion finally taking off is just to much for an old school head like me . I love that good southern booking !
I hope USA Championship Wrestling makes it into a lot of markets because it appears to be turning into one of the biggest best little wrestling promotions around .
BTW , I'm Pickle Head Fred .
Heh, I'm of mixed emotions about Puder. I really did think he was the best of the Tough Enough 4 guys when the contest occurred last year. Certainly more charismatic than The Miz and seemed more interested in learning than some of the others.
