Returning Midseason: Rules of Engagement
New This Fall: Elventh Hour-a biophysicist and special science advisor pursues those who would abuse scientific discoveries for their own gain. Based on the ITV television series that had Patrick Stewart in the starring role. The Mentalist-a drama about an independent consult with the California Bureau of Investigation who solves crimes using his remarkable observation skills. The Ex List-A drama about a woman is told by a psychic that she has already dated her future husband, and if she doesn't find him in the next year, she'll remain alone forever. When some of the psychic's other predictions come true, she starts to track down her former boyfriends, looking for the one that she's meant to be with. Project Gary-Jay Mohr stars in a comedy about a divorced couple who try to deal with sharing custody of their two children, while both are also pursuing new romantic relationships. Worst Week-a comedy about a man who will do anything to please his girlfriends's parents, but things always go wrong. Sounds kind of like a TV version of Meet The Parents.
EDIT: And I forget the CBS icon. How stupid of me.

Talk about writing yourself into a corner...If the show gets renewed, what do they do with the year after?
Moonlight's cancellation, while not at all surprising, still saddens me. Don't get me wrong, the show was AWFUL, but I still loved it for some unexplainable reason. There is word that it might live on as part of that Media Rights Capital block on the CW, since it was drawing higher ratings in the Friday night death slot than ANY of the CW's "big shows" (read: Gossip Girl).
The new shows all sound terrible. Looks like the limited pilot pool created by the strike is leading to some real crap getting through.

Something tells me that's not really going to wind up being a problem.

Can't they call it for what it really is- a rip-off of "Psych" but without the comic relief or Corbin Bernsen?

See, this just makes my head hurt. If she's already met her future husband, then I don't see how she can be alone forever. Now, if she had to find the only guy who could make her happy, the show would just be stupid but not mind numbing (maybe). I'll take the under on number of episodes for this show. Even if it's one.
Ex List - Looks as bad as I imagined. Was that Marissa Tomei?
Harper's Island - Mr. Boffo didn't mention this one. Serial murder mystery. Looks interesting, but it'll take a strong cast to sell this one, and I didn't recognize anyone in the trailer. Oh, and I'm soooo tired of the "creepy kid communicates with evil" device.
Project Gary: I'll admit, this short scene made me chuckle. Jay Mohr is awesome, but this is no "Action".
The Mentalist - Sure, it's derivative (Psych, Medium, Raines), but it was definitely the strongest of the clips shown. This one goes on my list.

They had that listed in a stupid spot on the press release. It's coming in midseason. "Family and friends attend week-long wedding festivites on a secluded island off the coast of Seattle." And then they start dying. No doubt a storm will come up that will disrupt all cell phone coverage as well as making it impossible for them to leave.
