"Last I heard, Bret Hart had vehemently denied having to do anything with the WWE, and has not changed his view. Vince wanted him to make an appearance at WM, and then get involved in a short storyline with Benoit, leading to the proposed Backlash title match (conveniently in Canada), but seems like Bret will have nothing to do with it, which is good for him, because I'm sure Vince will find some new way of screwing him over. With that said, however, if that riff plays at WM20 I'll be the first one marking out and jumping all over everywhere. After all, it is Bret Hart, the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. Notice, no quotes. Peace."
Not sure where you're getting this from, as every news outlet I'VE seen has said that bret and Vince patched up their differences a while ago and are on quite cordial terms. Plus, the poll on Hart's own (self-maintained?) site would seem to suggest that he's at least receptive to the idea, as are his fans.
The card looks damn good from my point of view. Almost every match has some major build going into it, guaranteeing a TON of heat and some great emotional wrestling. The evening gown match DOES annoy me, but for different reasons than those I suspect most have. I'm a sucker for continuity, and considering Sable and Torrie vehemently disliked each other for like, three months last year, it's just galling to see such recent history ignored. But I tihnk it's all an excuse for Jackie to finally show her tits off to the world in the guise of a Kat-style "unplanned incident", so I won't complain too much.

some one told me that one of his mates had said that Jeff Hardy was going to be a surprise entry in this match, win, and stay with Smackdown.
any substance to this rumour, or is it a load of BS?
hope it's true, i miss Jeff :(
Load of BS. Even if Jeff was returning, he'd be sent down to OVW first to get the ring rust off.
And I'm amused they think Sakoda's a cruiserweight.

The Cruiserweight match will be an open match and Heyman didn't say that it was only SD stars so their could be some Raw. Also the Smackdown Spoilers I read were wrong, the winner will not face Chavo later in the night but will win the title. Superstars under WWE contract eligible for this open are: 1.Chavo Guerrero Jr. 2.Rey Mysterio Jr. 3.Billy Kidman 4.Jamie Noble 5.Nunzio 6.Tajiri 7.Akio 8.Paul London 9.The Ultimo Dragon 10.Shannon Moore 11.Funaki 12.Scotty 2 Hotty 13.Spike Dudley 14.Christian 15.The Hurricane 16.Dean Malenko *Note: Matt Hardy is now above the current cruiserweight limit of 220 pounds

Which, apparently, you don't, at all.
It's Harley Race, btw.
Which is so odd considering the way Vince fucked with him when he got him as a wrestler. Aside from JR dropping his name, it's not like he's a WWE-Approved Legend. It'd kinda be like them bringing in Dusty Rhodes for it.
Thinking back, I think he appeared on the show where Pillman died and they had to fill time. Then he got hoodwinked by NBC and Vince didn't like that whole deal.
But Triple H idolizes Race and watches a bunch of his old stuff so maybe he elbowed Vince about it.

Can't say it better myself. Victoria/Lita doesn't even make sense. Victoria and Molly is the one with the issues. Even last Monday, Victoria rolled up Molly unsuspectingly to eliminate her Molly has the claim that Victoria didn't even beat her face to face. Certainly more claim then Lita who got pinned clean in the middle... I think overall is much better to go Molly/Victoria. Victoria is still a fresh face, if you going to push her then allow her to shine. It will do wonders allowing her to go into Wrestlemania as champion and coming out of it as champion and have 100% focus on her and her heel opponent. Without Miss Extreme Sloppiness taking focus away and messing the match up.

I don't know how it came across on TV since I may have just been in a noisy bloc, but I thought Cena-Orton was super-entertaining as a live match. It wasn't a 1970s NWA title hour-long match but why would it be?
