I found it odd that they would advertise their (non) competition (wwe.com) like that.

Read it and weap, fella

wtf? And they even give credit to Wrestlezone.com for the scoop? I kept looking for some sign that it wasnt really WWE's website or something. Weird.

If you go to the aforementioned page and click on "Industry News", it gives you a listing of all the articles. From the layout and the nature of the articles, and the fact that they're all coming from the same website, it looks like WWE just picks up a specific RSS feed for WWE news from Wrestlezone.com.

It seems likely that the story got posted in the wrong feed at Wrestlezone.com, so the mistake was actually on their end and not WWE's.

What I can't figure out is why WWE would be using Wrestlezone.com's RSS feed in the first place.

They got Impact results on there now too. I think its funny. But the real reason that stuff is on there is because it was reportedly done in part due to concern with falling website traffic in recent months. Officials don't want the perception that the site is losing steam.

This can only end in tragedy. Hilarious, magnificent tragedy. It's the peanut butter & jelly combination of a badly thought out idea implemented very poorly.

I would pay large amounts of cash to have video/audio of the meeting where they decided which sites weren't allowed.

At what point, though, does WrestleZone.com realize what's happening here and start "mistakenly" putting other articles into the feed for WWE news? Listing TNA results on WWE.com is far from the end of the world, but I would imagine Vince won't be happy if he starts seeing columns on his website giving away TV taping results or criticizing the Wellness Policy.

Back in the day didn't WWE and WCW play these mind games on the net? The ultimate dagger to WCW when Eric ordered Tony Schiavone to blurt out the Raw spoilers on Nitro. I'll have to look up Crz's recaps but I believe Foley wins the WWE title.

Is Russo running WWE.com?

Those weren't mind games. Those were direct attempts by Bischoff to stop people switching over to Raw. Pretty much the opposite of advertising the WWF's upcoming house shows and PPV ticket sales.

It really is a bizarre situation.

Seeing results of TNA Impact and the plugging of MCMG's upcoming appearance on MTV on WWE.com has lead to me to believe that Vince McMahon has passed away and been replaced by a doppelganger.

Does this mean that WWE are preparing to *gulp* actually RECOGNIZE championships from other promotions? If this happens, won't it cause the wrestling world to collapse in on itself?

TNA results and info is weird enough, but seeing freakin' CHIKARA news on wwe.com is pretty damn surreal.

Could be on WGN soon, by the sounds of it. There is also "TNA Explosion", a recap show. Check your local listings for times and availabilities in your area. Wow, I sound like a commercial.
