Yes, it is that time of the month again. PPV time. WWE presents Unforgiven tonight. As of last week, we only knew three matches. All other matches were thrown together during last week's television, so that shows you how important WWE feels this PPV is. However, many, including me, are still planning on throwing 30 some bucks to Vinnie-Mac to watch. So, without further adeu (or however the hell you spell it), here are my WWE UNFORGIVEN PREDICTIONS!!!!!! Yeah!
Booker T, Goldust, Bubba Ray Dudley, & Kane v. Test, Christian, Lance Storm, & William Regal: Booker T is so above this. It brings a tear to my eye. Match will probably be a cluster, but an entertaining one. I'd put this on first, since these matches are usually pretty good in popping a crowd. Booker T & Kane need a big win, and the Un-Americans haven't lost in a while, so a loss here shouldn't hurt them. PREDICTION: Anti-Foreigners
Edge v. Eddie Guerrero: I don't know what the WWE sees in Edge. His character is stale, and he's just missing something in the ring. I feel Eddie Guerrero is a better heel than Edge is a face. Edge won at SummerSlam, so I'd give the win to Guerrero. But, Vince has a hard-on for Edge, so I'll throw a Guerrero win out the window. PREDICTION: Edge
Intercontinental Champion, Chris Jericho, v. Ric Flair: Jericho needs some big wins. Jericho also just won the Intercontinental Title on Raw, so I doubt they'd take it off him already. Plust, Jericho hasn't won a PPV match since No Way Out, so he needs this win, badly. PREDICTION: The King of the World!!!
Chris Benoit v. Kurt Angle: HERE WE GO! Match of the night, by far! I hope they give these guys 20-minutes or so. Benoit and Angle are awesome, so this match should be terrific. Unfortunatley, I doubt the crowd heat will amount to a lot, as the crowd won't know who to cheer for. Heel #1 or Heel #2. Still, this should be good. As far as a winner goes? Well, Benoit was the last one to have an advantage on SmackDown by putting Angle in the crossface, so I'll go with the Crippler. PREDICTION: Chris Benoit
(Raw) World Champion, Triple H, v. Rob Van Dam: RVD will definitely go over here... BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I even fooled myself there for a mintute. I love Rob Van Dam, and would like nothing less for RVD than a World Title, but with Triple H, it ain't happenin'. Expect RVD to be back in the mid-card by next week. You know, I've just completely given up hope for Van Dam to get a serious main-event push. It's not happening, so I'm just not going to worry about it anymore. Vince, just move RVD to SmackDown, and give him 15-minute matches with Benoit, Guerrero, and Angle, and I'll be a happy man. PREDICTION: Cripple H
Billy & Chuck v. Rosie & Jamal: Yeah, I think this will probably go on in between the main events, just because Vince is crazy like that. Rosie & Jamal losing would totally bury them, so they HAVE to go over. Plus, they seem to be building more toward Stephanie performing HLA than Bischoff kissing her ass. Eric probably does enough of that backstage. Steph performs Hot Lesbian Action. Yay. I have no attraction to Stephanie anyways, so I don't care. Please, if anyone reading is attending the event, then when Steph does HLA, hold up a sign that reads "JUST RENT PORN". PREDICTION: Rosie & Jamal
(Smackdown) World Champion, Brock Lesnar, v. Undertaker: I think Brock should just squash 'Taker in 5-minutes, injure him, and put him out of action for a year. Unfortunatley, me and Vince have a completely different thought process. Undertaker buries Lesnar the whole match, until Heyman interferes, and Lesnar gets a win. Whopee. Can we please push Angle now? PREDICTION: Brock Lesnar
Well, there you go. Those are my predictions. What do you think?
There's another thread, but I like yours better, here goes:
Benoit/Angle: I hope for an Angle squash, but don't see it, Benoit comes out on top. You know, it's really too bad Benoit's on Smackdown, because the IC belts on RAW. Personally, I see this feud going on for another month, so I dont think it's over yet.
Anti-Americans vs. Booker T, Goldust, Kane and Bubbah Rey Better than Bradshaw: How is Booker better than this? Yes, he's got the best mic skills, but what's he done LATELY? Personally, I'm rooting for the the team of B-Teazy, Kane and Dudley Boy, so I'm predicting their win, but who knows with those sneaky Un-American guys. Booker T hopefully moves on to an IC title fued with Jericho (although he'll probably just feud with Test!).
Molly/Trish: Food time! Time to get my snack stack set, come back midway through to see a pretty good women's match. I hope Trish wins. I'm going with Trish, she's got charisma (no necessarily mic skills) and is over, also, she entertains in those mixed tags. TRISH!
Edge/Eddie: I honestly can't remember who won last month, but I'm STILL going with Edge. I like Edge, he's entertaining in the right feud, with enough tv time.
Jericho/Flair: I'm going out on a limb and saying Jericho. I really hope Flair's last great run isn't with the IC title, but I guess it's the only one that makes sense.
B and C vs. R and J: I'll go with Rosie and Jamal due to Rico interferance. Stephanie finds her way out of the HLA.
Triple H/RVD: I like both of these guys, but am going with Triple H. I'm rooting for him and want to see a great match, and with Van Dam there's a high possibility it could be really good, or a clash of styles (his best ppv outing so far for me has been RVD/Goldust).
Brock/Taker: Brock wins. I just HOPE this isn't the main event. Don't push Angle against this guy! Please? We all know how Angle does against big guys (gets dominated). Hold off. Make it Edge/Brock next month. Please?
I voted for Mutoh/Hase as match of the year. I thought it was even better than Mutoh/Tenryu. In the retro category, as I've mentioned here before, the greatest tag match I've even see was Mutoh/Chono vs. Hase/Sasaki from around Novemeber of 1991.
