What, you actually thought Jericho had a chance?

In the real world, WWE believes that no matter what our race, religious creed or ethnic background in America, we all share the common bond of being Americans. American-Arabs are a part of the fabric of America, and they should be embraced by all of us.

Hee, well, it's not as if Cena/Jericho wasn't a foregone conclusion anyway. If this is, in fact, the Unforgiven main event (and I wouldn't put it past WWE to work the smarts whenever it suits them), it'll be fun to watch, and hopefully they'll book Angle as being an actual threat to Cena. Because they haven't done a good job convincing me that Y2J will come close to winning the title from Cena.

How do people come into possession of these posters? I mean, for some reason, that poster looks cheap and badly done. Is it authentic?

While I wouldn't mind seeing Cena/Angle once again, I kind of wish Jericho was in Cena's place in the main event.

I want to warn everyone not to take the poster too seriously, as they've released posters and commercials before that have hyped matches and pushes that never materialized, but yeah... Jericho doesn't stand a chance.

There was an ad for SummerSlam that came along with my cable bill the other day. On the ad, SummerSlam was subtitled

Besides, I thought Y2J was taking time off (6 months sounds right) to tour with Fozzy.

Which would be fine with me. Having him come back around RR/WM envigorated would be nice.

Yup. The matches I got during MY local ad were:

Batista v. Hassan
Triple H v. Flair
Orton v. Undertaker
Cena v. Edge

Well...they got ONE right.

Here in the DC area, they haven't announced any matches. Just said that Orton, Hogan, Michaels, Cena, Batista, HHH, Flair, Edge, Kane, JBL, Hassan, and Undertaker were all appearing.

1) The obligitory: When are people going to stop acting as if these posters EVER mean ANYTHING? <--smiley of non-flame

2) I believe I read that Jericho himself has stated that he will not be missing any significant time from WWE TV, regardless of his Fozzy commitments. Can anyone back me up?

3) No one thought Jericho had a prayer at Vengeance 2001 either. Just sayin', is all.

I'm surprised it took this long for someone to bring that point up...

Angle/Cena...this could be very interesting to see how this plays out...my obligatory no UPN = no SmackDown means I've yet to see these two have a go of it...It would be great if Angle took the belt.

Man, I still haven't gotten used to the draft. At first glance I thought "Wow, Smackdown is really blowing a major matchup on a minor PPV." I guess you can just sub in the Raw brand instead.

On the bright side, this likely means that HHH will be taking a bit more time off so he'll be all the more fresher upon his return. If he comes back around, oh, say 2007, that should be just about right.

Matt Tracker: Great comix this week. But why not use the Trojan corner to feature the adventures Al Wilson?
DEAN: Al Wilson rides it bareback, my brother.
Matt Tracker: Waitress, I won't need this omelette after all, thanks.
DEAN: He's too much of gentleman to assume that the lady he is with would have a disease and he's man enough to raise any offspring that should arise. HE IS AL WILSON.

I'm sorry, but I don't see how it reveals that Kurt gets his medals back. Just because Eugene has physical posession of the medals, it doesn't mean that Kurt can no longer be called a gold medalist (or can no longer be pictured with them.) I certainly wouldn't call Eugene a gold medalist because he *won* them from Kurt in such a peculiar fashion. While I expect that Kurt will reclaim his medals at some point before the subsequent PPV, I don't think that this poster is any indication of that.

Agreed, and to play devil's advocate, since WWE is now going balls out with getting the first scoop on the net with their recent headline news makers on wwe.com, what if the whole Jericho/contract issues/taking a leave to tour/ isnt just a ruse and Jericho ends up winning the belt? They are obviously catering more than ever to the IWC, so who know, just saying is all. Jericho hasnt been this inspired in his performances since his fued with Christian, and him winning the title would be great. Cena has a long career ahead of him, and an angry babyface chasing the title has historically been a proven money maker. Ah fuck who am I kidding, that poster is probably 98% accurate.

I guess that's possible, but then that would completely ruin their site's credibility on future "breaking news" stories like Dusty & Bret's visits to Titan Towers last week.

Not that the site had any credibility before a couple weeks ago, but I think they've built some up since then & it's be odd to see them throw it all away over this.
