S2H is one of those guys whose gimmick (clothes, hair, name, etc) was completely tied to a very specific point in time. Unlike guys like SCSA, whose gimmick will pretty much always resonate with a large part of the fan base, S2H really has absolutely no one that can identifiy with who he is. And it's been that way for about 5 years.
At least some day maybe I'll understand why some day maybe you never can. Or something like that.
The weirdest thing about S2H is that he really does have a stale gimmick, but the audiences still pop like crazy for him and the "worm" (and I've seen that on numerous occasions). "Cheesy Children Gimmick" is right, but it's hard to argue with success there.
The results: -Matt Hardy defeats Gregory Helms. Really good opening match. I was surprised it ended up getting close to 15 minutes. The opening matches on the last 2 WWE PPV's have been pretty solid, and both featured a Hardy brother. Go figure.
