Another great comic has passed away today as Milton Berle died just a few hours ago at the age of 93. Altough not known by many that use the board, he single handenly boosted Television from "crazy invention" to the house hold item we cherish today.

My personal favorite moment from him was when he guest stared on The Critic and they used him as the leathal ninja who foiled the bombing plans...

You will be missed Uncle Miltie

Uncle Miltie was great whenever he went on the Stern show to plug something. Because, of course, all Howard wanted to do was talk about the size of Uncle Miltie's package.

I also loved the scene in Pee-Wee's Big Adventure where Pee-Wee joins Milton's entourage (sp?) and laughs ridiculously loud at the lame story he tells.

I was very saddened by Uncle Miltie's passing, along with the passing of Dudley Moore. Mainly because I had both of them in my dead pool last year, but took both of them off my list for this year. Inconsiderate bastards.

Of course I have a dead pool. I thought everybody did, don't they? It makes the news much more fun to read every day.

And you can add RIP Billy Wilder to the list. The third shoe has fallen, and Bob Hope can rest easy for a while now.

it must be the generation gap, because i didn't think he was all that, but my dad [he's 72] was saddened to hear that miltie died...

maybe it would be the same for us like if robin williams, or chris rock, or jim carrey died like some 50 years from now, and we'll all go, shit, that was one funny dude, thanks for the memories...

but, RIP anyway, i hope to live as long as he did...

Howard Stern's Radio show was playing past moments this morning of Uncle Miltie on my way to work. I have to say he was very entertaining to listen to.

I am the JOBBER TO THE STARS. You better remember that.

A factoid that I didn't know that I read in the AP story about the funeral.

Richard Moll was Uncle Miltie's son-in-law.
