I would have predicted Kane. Umaga will make a great fit on TNA. Or one wonders if some more positive drug test have shown up and the WWE is simply releasing them instead of releasing the results. Who knows.....
Sorry to see Umaga go. I thought they were onto something with him speaking English. He worked well with CM Punk, and seeing them run a longer program would have made me happy.

The only thing I see on Meltzer's site is "Umaga, more to come." Does this mean more releases, or does it just mean more information about Umaga's release? I would assume the latter, unless you saw something different.

I'd say more releases. It would be assumed that at some point Meltzer would have more details (although likely saved for the newsletter).
This sucks, because he was my favorite current wrestler, but he clearly has not been the same since he came back this year. He's gained quite a bit of weight, and has become very fond of having matches that are 40% nerve holds (these are likely related). I'd imagine he could come back if he lost a bunch of weight.

If you wanna reach the Co-op, boy, you gotta get by me.
Well, that's different. I, too, expected Kane's days to be numbered, and maybe they still are, but Umaga was not on my next-in-line-to-be-future-endeavored list. Maybe there's a failed drug test somewhere there like someone pointed out. He has gotten fat, but I really didn't think that was hampering him in the ring. Who knows? Or maybe they were just making room for Chris Masters to return on Smackdown.
Who else do you think is going? I'm thinking maybe Festus, Brian Kendrick, Jamie Noble on Raw and Ezekiel Jackson, DJ Gabriel on the ECW side. Can't think of anyone else off the top of my head.
Forfeit the game, before somebody else takes you outta the game, and puts your name to shame Cover up your face, you can't run the race The pace is too fast, you just won't last - "Points Of Authority" - Linkin Park
I would think that if they really ran out of ideas for him they would have just stuck him in ECW and let him run over everyone there, so I would guess that he either did something or failed something.

Noble is an agent/producer, so I'm pretty sure he's safe. If Kendrick was on the chopping block, I'd have thought he'd have taken the pin last night on Raw, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's safe. I hope he sticks around, dude is pretty great.

Dave: "Both!"
More on Umaga: He's telling people he quit. FWIW.
More on Others: The writers were given a list of wrestlers not to use next week. No one knows, but everyone's presuming these are a batch of drug suspensions. And wondering if Batista's injury is not so much an injury as a cover for a suspension, which would be WWE breaking their own rules about making these suspensions public.
Dave seemed to think we'd hear much more about this in the next couple of days.

Can we take it to the next step and speculate that Hunter's slightly over a month long vacation/daddy day care experience could have been testing related, whether it be to avoid a test or because of the results of a test?
This surprised me (not as much as Kennedy being released but it still surprised me).
Some people like Umaga and some don't. I thought he was a pretty good heel and was pretty agile for a super heavyweight. I think he is better than Kane because he has more variety of moves and as mentioned, is pretty agile for his size.
When used properly, Umaga can have good feuds with any person in the WWE (like how he did when he first came in and feuded with Trips, Cena and other top faces).
I am sure more will come about this behind the real reasoning behind Umaga's departure. Too bad; the WWE could have eventually used Umaga v. the Undertaker like other people wanted and or predicted.
I was under the impression that HHH had been classified as management, so he was like Vince in not being subject to drug testing. I could be wrong, but I thought I remembered one of the big name sites saying that.

FWIW, a friend of mine is working on the movie Batista just did with RVD, and he says plans for a Batista centered sequel were halted a couple weeks ago because of him getting hurt. So I doubt him being out is any sort of conspiracy scheme.

Possibly related, today's Figure Four Weekly mentions that last week's development cuts are more likely due to "the result of some sort of incident and not just the usual spring cleaning".
I am really looking forward to when all of this week's stories finally break. Should be a fun week.
EDIT: Meltzer says "The story [that] he's undergoing surgery today is legit".

I wonder if Batista was injured before MNR or even Extreme Rules. It just seemed for a cage match Sunday the two(Orton/Batista) were moving in slow motion, being real careful which was odd. Especially for a cage match.
