Is this thing on? I can't get to Google or Yahoo. I think my internet is broken again.

Somebody go Google some public DNS servers so I can fix this damn thing This is the only place on the internet I can get to.

ScrubIT (filters pr0n, so probably not what you want): "ScrubIT offers clean, reliable, and speedy DNS service FREE of charge. Our filtered DNS scrubs out the bad stuff and is absolutely simple to setup and use. Try it today!"

* 67.138.54.100
* 207.225.209.66

OpenDNS (you'll get ads on DNS misses):
"Taking a few minutes to unbundle your DNS service from your ISP's Internet connection means a safer, faster, smarter and more reliable Internet experience for everyone in your household."

* 208.67.222.222
* 208.67.220.220

vnsc-pri.sys.gtei.net (no idea who or what this is; but their DNS sure is open):

* 4.2.2.1
* 4.2.2.2
* 4.2.2.3
* 4.2.2.4
* 4.2.2.5
* 4.2.2.6

That's the best I can do quickly. Most ISPs are being much more careful with their DNS these days, as are major corporations, all for obvious reasons.

I had to reboot the DSL modem. Again.

Honestly I'm not getting a speed difference from it. And judging from the early returns on forums around the web, neither are most users. Not many features, crashes about as often as Firefox. I would say don't waste your time.
