As recorded for posterity on our banner for the day, Minnesota's Kevin Love recorded 31 points, 31 rebounds and 5 assists in the Wolves' 112-103 victory over the New York Knicks at the Target Center. (Just think: All those points and rebounds, and he was even halfway towards getting a triple-double!)
The last NBA player to record 30 points and 30 rebounds in a single game was Moses Malone in 1982; he got 38 points and 32 rebounds for the Rockets against the Sonics.
Great job, young fella!

Think about this. Malone's 30/30 was in 1982. Kevin Love was born in 1988.
Last 30 board game was Barkley in 1996.
Love wasn't even the Wolves' top scorer - that goes to Michael Beasley with 35 (Beasley's line - "only" 35/6/4)
Love has two 20/20/5 games in the Wolves' last three. He wasn't so hot in Sacramento, but B-Easy picked up the slack, dropping 42 in the Wolves' first road win in 17 games going all the way back to last February. He needs to have more babies if this is what it does to his game!
Was the 6-2 preseason a fluke? Perhaps not! This team may surprise some people yet if they can avoid the zillions of injuries they have already quickly endured. (Jonny Flynn may return to make his first appearance this season on Wednesday!)

Didn't think it would happen so soon after the record was broken. I thought they'd be able to shoot for 100, but I guess that just wasn't realistic. Still, 90 in a row is about as dominant as a team can get in sports.
