Hmm, perhaps you're correct there. If he's truly a new personna, the idea is all the old matchups are fresh again because its a different guy now. It seems to include a huge push to at least #1 face/heel status and eventually the fed title. BikerTaker never held the belt and was only briefly programmed in the main event. A new finisher might get added as well (the last ride) that has to be figured out/overcome. That was a really odd transformation for him the more I think about it.
If Austin swore off the beer, the bald head, the black vest/trunks, the 3:16 attitude, and the stunner, that would be someone else. I've never recommended Austin do that tho because he's way too over. Now Dwayne Johnson, who's Rocky personna gets booed in all his face v face matches, could use a change.
And HHH doesn't count because his DX personna was never a main-eventer. Only the Game was. The point I'm making is that when a wrestler has worn out all his permutations with the other main-eventers, a new personna can bring a fresh new look to his main-event matchups. DX HHH never feuded at the top of the card with anyone so it doesn't count. The Game is not a tired concept -yet-. He has never feuded with BikerTaker (I'm not mentioning Hogan here on purpose) but beyond that there really is nothing more the story of the Game can tell us.
Overall, Rocky, Austin, HHH, Angle, etc., have almost all feuded with each other. The top of the card is all "been there, done that". Some main-eventers need new personnas. Or they can give Hogan the belt and have him beat them all (shudder).
I trust all making predictions for the year 2004 are doing so in the style of Conan O'Brien and Andy Richter on the Conan O'Brien Show. You know, with the black monk garments and the flashlights and all that.
Then, you can slide in something about how in the year 2004 Lance Storm will have been 3 time WWF Champion. Because, as we all know, that prophecy is as legitimate as a three legged donkey.
Does anyone think that two years from now Turner will be back into wrestling and will have a strong rival company once again?

Which, of course, is illegitimate, because as we all know donkeys have four legs. LOL...
Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing Storm as WWF Champion. But that would mean that only me and two other guys would ever come to any WWF show, and that's not a good thing.
In my mind, Storm's an eternal midcarder, who might for a little while break into the upper-midcard. But y'know something brother? That's better than most people in the wrestling business will ever be able to say.

--Kurt Angle to Chris Jericho, Smackdown 4/11/2002
Sayonora Austin, Rock, HHH, Taker, Nash, and Hall.
Hello Comissioner Hogan.
Look, it's a Dangerous Alliance! And next to them, Four Horsemen.
People will still complain that the same people are in the main events repeatedly. However, Jericho/RVD/Angle/Lesnar/Booker T recycled will be as superior to HHH/Austin/Rock/Undertaker as H/A/R/U was to Hogan/throwaway heel/Savage.
The Montreal Incident will be revealed to be a work. Whether it was or not.
People will still piss their pants every 2 months when Shamrock tells a website he's thinking about returning.
Sex-starved Smarks will lose sleep over who was behind GTV. In 2050 it will be revealed to be the work of Kevin Sullivan, who is so out of it he doesn't know he doesn't have a G in his name.
...there will still be no serious Women's or Cruiserweight division.
...there will not have been a Four Horsemen/Dangerous Alliance reformation [though if I'm wrong on this one, I predict it will happen by the end of 2002.]
...Jim Ross will no longer be an announcer. Also, there will be a change in one of the major behind-the-scenes players. Some big shot will be forced out in order to shake things up and make things fresh.
...there will be no serious rival to the WWF, but there will be a promotion that has a position similar to ECW's old one--a second-tier promotion with a small but loyal following.
...The Rock will still be known primarily as a wrestler, though he will continue to make movies.
...The Hardyz will no longer be working for the WWF.
...one or possibly both of the Dudleys will be a major singles star.
...Rob Van Dam will be a major star. Duh....
...Chris Benoit will continue to have injury problems and will not have made the step up to superstardom that everyone is hoping he'll make.
...Booker T. will still be stuck on a career treadmill.
...Hogan will be gone and I will be watching WWF programming again.
...Austin and UT will be gone by the end of 2004 at the latest, but HHH and Rock will still be around.
I think BOTH Hardys will be out of the WWF. As well as HHH because of injury, and UT, Hall, Nash, Hogan because of age.
Flair will be gone.
The Rock will still be around but only part time so they will try and rehash the commishioner AGAIN for him.
By this time 2004 Angle will have spent most of that time training, it will take most of 2003 and by April the Olympics would not have happened yet, but once he returns after the Olympics he will be THE star due to Austin fading and Rock only being part time.
Lesnar won't rise as fast as Angle or even Goldberg but will have some IC and Tag reigns, but not World Title reign yet.
Wrestlemania main event will be Austin vs. Flair retirement match that Austin wins.
Rey Mysterio is out with an injury.
Eddie and RVD will be poised to take Austin and Rock's spots as top dogs.
Paul Heyman will be known as one of the best managers ever in the WWF.
X-Pac will still suck.
Kane will still be around, he'll still have his mask, he'll still wear red and black, blah blah blah
Shane McMahon takes over the WWF (for real, not some angle)
Jamie Knoble will be on the rise (the third biggest star out of the new guys after Lesnar and Orton.)
Benoit or Storm will accidentally stumble into a promo that has the effect of "Austin 3:16", "This is not sing along with The Rock" and Hogan's becoming nWo all rolled into one.
RVD will be teased on air about his toking.
Rock will either become either the biggest action star ever or suffer from Jet Li/McClain Stevenson syndrome, passing up gem roles in "Titantic"-like money-making films and taking bad roles in "The One"-like films.
A woman even smaller than Sarah Michelle Gellar will take the woman's title. She proves her prowess when teased mercilessly, by taking on and beating up The Big Show badly. Then there will be an angle involving her suffering from bulimia.
Not to mention any names, but some predictions have already gone wrong. Example: "Hogan will not win the WWF Title." Nice try, A Fan, if that's your real name!
If simply being around while Rock was making movies, and before Brock Lesnar debuts while "working your ass off" is enough of a "fact" to justify someone being a star, where's Chris Benoit's world title? Oh, right.
