We're two weeks away from the show, and only have 2 matches announced. What are your predictions for this card? Here's mine:
Benoit vs. Kane - World Title HHH vs. HBK - Hell in the Cell Randy Orton vs. Edge vs. Shelton Benjamin - IC Title Chris Jericho vs. Tyson Tomko Victoria vs. Molly Holly vs. Gail Kim Eugene vs. The Coach
I can't really think of any of PPV matches to put on this card. Are there any other feuds on RAW I'm missing? There's no match for Batista. I'd say maybe Edge, but I like the idea of a triple threat IC title match with those guys rather than a 1 on 1 with Batista. Matt Hardy and Lita have nothing since Kane is in the World Title match. Wonder where they're gonna go with this card?

I like that IC Triple Threat idea too. However, it does leave Batista as the odd man out in the Evolution vs Upper Midcard Faces feud. The only thing I can really see for Batista is if Tajiri makes his return next week and they end up having another match on PPV. Mostly I'm just hoping Tajiri isn't forgotten after 2 weeks absence.
Something needs to be done with the tag titles, and hopefully next week we see Benoit/Edge defend them against somebody and get screwed over by Evolution or Kane and lose. That would give the winning (and presumably lower midcard, since what other teams are there?) heel team something to brag about, and maybe be a first step in revitalizing the tag team division.
It would be infinitely cool to see Matt Hardy play a role in the World Title match, leading into a real feud between him and Kane afterwards instead of that completely one-sided crap we've seen lately. Other than that, I can't think of an obvious role for him at Bad Blood, which is pretty piss poor considering how much crowds love the guy.
Despite what goes on in the midcard, the top two matches have already sold me on the PPV, which is more than I can say about this month's Judgement Day.
Lloyd: When I met Mary, I got that old fashioned romantic feeling, where I'd do anything to bone her. Harry: That's a special feeling.
"Jericho tries for the Walls of Jericho early on, but it is blocked by mysterious rays from Shawn Michaels while a message on the Titantron says, 'This move is mine now.' " -RAW Satire, 05.10.04
Benoit vs. Kane Michaels vs. HHH Orton vs. Benjamin Edge vs. Batista Jericho vs. Tomko Victoria vs. Gail Eugene vs. Coach Frenchies vs. Superheroes (since they get tossed out there to kill time every week anyway)
The Toronto Maple Leafs: Hockey's equivalent of the Chicago Cubs, but easier to hate.
There have been some rumors floating around about putting the Tag Titles on Evolution, and then pass them onto La Res. The logical way to do this would be to defend them on the next Raw, have Orton interfere against Edge (to build the IC feud) and cost him the match; and then move the belts to La Res on the PPV. Given, it won't have much buildup, but it will give Evolution something to do for a bit, put over a new team in Raw's pitifully weak tag division, plus they can play off the angle for the next month, and even until SS.
I think La Res will have to be built up a little more before getting the titles from Evilution. I mean, they can't keep losing to Hurricane and Rosey then get the belts. I wouldn't think.

Um, they defeated the Superheroes just on Monday, so I think they have the upperhand now. In fact, I think that La Res will get a world tag title shot this week against Benoit/Edge, and interference from Kane (goading Benoit to a brawl, leaving Edge to get pinned) will be the finish. This also allows for Edge to be upset with Benoit, leading to a turn later in the summer.
The Bad Blood card then looks like this:
HHH/HBK- HIAC Benoit/Kane- HC match Orton/Shelton- IC match La Res/Superheroes/Evolution (Batista and Flair)- TC match Jericho/Tomko Victoria/Lita/Gail/Molly-Elimination match for WC Eugene/Coach
Joe Wilson (looking at Interocitor manual)- Hey, here's something my wife could use in the house... Crow T. Robot- A man? Joe Wilson- An interocitor incorporating an electron sorter. Cal Meechum- Oh, she'd probably gain 20 pounds while it did all the work for her. Tom Servo- Cal, you bitch!
The tag belts are way better off being contested between guys who matter in great matches than they would be on La Resistance in mediocre matches.
I really hope Jericho doesn't wrestle Tomko! If Christian is back in action maybe they'll do Christian & Trish vs. whatever's left of Matt Hardy & Lita.
Benoit v. Kane(World Title) HHH v. HBK(HitC) Orton v. Benjamin(I-C Title) Edge v. Batista Jericho v. Tomko Victoria v. Gail Kim(Women's Title - Submission Match) V1 & Lita v. Christian & Trish(Trish & Lita have history, just plug in their bf) Eugene v. Coach
-Pretty sad we can more or less predict the whole RAW PPV but might only be able to do 3 matches for GAB, and those are just rematches from JD
"Whats your name? Dick Army. Hahaha, whats your wives name, Vagina Coastguard?"
Benoit/Kane HHH/HBK Benoit & Edge/Evolution (think about it, DOUBLE BENOIT! I knew you'd like) Orton/Shelton Eugene & Regal/Coach & Cade Jericho/Tomko Victoria/Gail Kim
There, a nice little seven match card that pretty much encapsulates all ongoing storylines, considering I'm picking Matt Hardy to interfere and cost Kane the title. You can probably throw another riveting S.H.I.T/La Rez match on top of that too.

Again, the plan is supposed to give La Res the next-level push and have them feud against upper-level players to give value back to the Tag Titles. I also saw an advertisement for a post-Bad Blood house show card that featured La Res v Edge/Jericho. Give them a feud with some makeshift superstar team and put them over. It's not like Edge or Jericho have much to lose. Your second point about the quality of matches is spot-on, at least at the moment. But I have hope for Rob Conway, who is certainly the more impressive of the two, and going against upper-midcard stars can usually only help. Just look at Orton and Batista.
There is no tag team division on Raw and be to honest, thats probably for the best. I think they should move Les Res and the Superheroes over to Smackdown, because if anyone needs a division right now its Smackdown. Raw has three belts, its all they really need. They have more singles talent then any roster before them, so I say let the single wrestlers shine. No need to throw belts on to upper level guys just so you can get a tag division with only three real teams over. They need to start from the ground up if they want these belts to mean something.
As for the card I predict these matches will be added.
Eugene/Regal vs. Cade/Coach Jericho vs. Tyson Edge vs Flair Batista vs. Tajiri Victoria vs. Kim Trish/Christian vs. Matt/Lita
Let's see.... I expect there's gonna be as many matches as Backlash, the last RAW PPV. So, that's 8.
Already announced... World Title: Chris Benoit [c] vs. Kane Hell in a Cell: Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H [w/Ric Flair]
And the other six... IC Title: Randy Orton [c][w/Ric Flair] vs. Shelton Benjamin Grudge Match: Edge vs. Batista [w/Ric Flair] WHY: Edge/Orton seems to be the match they want for SummerSlam (as is Benoit/HHH), so this keeps them apart until then and sells the Everyone vs. Evolution subangle.
Grudge Match: Matt Hardy V1 vs. Christian [w/Trish & Tomko] Grudge Match: Chris Jericho vs. Tyson Tomko [w/Trish & Christian] WHY: Jericho/Tomko seems set, and Christian (if healthy) and Matt need something to do.
Grudge Match: Eugene [w/Regal] vs. Garrison Cade [w/Coach] Women's Title: Victoria [c] vs. Molly Holly vs. Gail Kim WHY: Eugene's over, so he gets a match. And the Victoria angle has been going for a bit.
I also expect Tajiri, Maven, La Resistance, Hurricane & Rosey to get a match in some combination, possibly on Heat.
THE 111TH STANLEY CUP FINALS: Calgary Flames & Tampa Bay Lightning are tied 1-1; Game 2 is Thursday

Everything I say is a lie. Except that. And that. And that. And that. And that....And that.
Benoit Vs. Kane, with Benoit going over, natch HHH Vs. Michaels, Hell In A Cell, with Michaels winning to set up H's absence and a non-screwy Michaels/Benoit match for Vengeance Edge Vs. Shelton Vs. Orton, because it gives Edge something meaningful to do, allows Orton another victory, and prolongs the Benjamin/Orton singles feud to summer-long status Batista/Flair Vs. Eugene/Regal for the tag straps. Just have Evolution regain the belts this coming Monday (a distinct possibility given Benoit and Edge's attacking of them during the Michaels/HHH pull-apart on Monday) then have Bisch put his nephew into another nasty situation. OR they could keep Regal as a manager and put Tajiri as Eugene's partner. The storyline's there to exploit. Jericho/Matt Hardy/Lita Vs. Christian/Tomko/Trish. Easily set-up within the space of a show. OR, if Christian's back isn't up to it, Jericho/Tomko in a no-DQ match would cover it. OR even if Christian is healthy they could split the match into Jericho/Tomko and a mixed tag, which would pad things out nicely. Victoria/Gail for the Women's Title. Duh.
Once upon a time in China, some believe, around the year one double-ought three, head priest of the White Lotus Clan, Pai Mei was walking down the road, contemplating whatever it is that a man of Pai Mei's infinite power contemplates - which is another way of saying "who knows" - when a Shaolin monk appeared, traveling in the opposite direction. As the monk and the priest crossed paths, Pai Mei, in a practically unfathomable display of generosity, gave the monk the slightest of nods. The nod was not returned. Now was it the intention of the Shaolin monk to insult Pai Mei or did he just fail to see the generous social gesture? The motives of the monk remain unknown. What is known, are the consequences. The next morning Pai Mei appeared at the Shaolin Temple and demanded of the Temple's head abbot that he offer Pai Mei his neck to repay the insult. The Abbot at first tried to console Pai Mei, only to find Pai Mei was inconsolable. So began the massacre of the Shaolin Temple and all 60 of the monks inside at the fists of the White Lotus. And so began the legend of Pai Mei's five point palm exploding heart technique.
