|  #1 Posted on 13.11.02 0026.12 | I just came back from the SmackDown! tapings and while I won't spoil them here, I thought I'd let everyone know who was in the dark matches. One was a tag team match of Shelton Benjamon and Lance Cade (never heard of the guy) vs. The Big Valbowski and Nova. Nova looked to be in fine form, but didn't bust out anything too crazy. They teased a Hart Attack, but it was broken up. Lance Cade looked solid, if unspectacular. The first match featured Confidential darling Rene Dupre (wearing a hand-me-down Flair robe) vs...wait for it....Chris mother-fucking Kanyon. He got one of the top pops of the night (then again, the first "name" always does), but his catchphrase got a solid response. Their match was very solid and Kanyon sold like a machine. If this was a test to see if he had ring rust, then he should be back on TV very soon.

BOO! I was hoping he would go to Raw. It's the only show I get and he would definitely add to the roster. Glad he's back, though.
I was wondering when Nova would be in dark matches. I can't wait until they bring him up to the big-time. I think the fans can really get behind him. He's definitely Smackdown material, though.
They need to bring up Tyson "Textbook" Dux, too. If you guys haven't seen him on Velocity, you're really missing out. He's this geeky-looking skinny white guy who does outdated dance moves like the Roger Rabbit and Robot when he's showboating.
