Second time in 4 years that Leyland has choked the division in the last week with the Tigers. Of course, last time he had the wild card to bail him out. If not for Joe Table(or Jose Mesa), Leyland would have one of the biggest choke artists reps amongst managers. Orlando Cabrera is becoming one of those players that finds himself in the playoffs since he escaped Montreal. And since Gomez scored the winning run after getting a hit in the 12th, the Santana trade at this point has benefited the Twins more than it has the Metropolitans.
That was such a great game. The defensive play was just outstanding - I love a play at the plate and that one was *CLOSE*. And the bunt/slike into first was outstanding. So many great plays I can't even remember them all.
I know they're underdogs (0-7 against this season) but I'll be rooting hard for the Twins over the Yankees in the Division Series.
One things the announcer said last night at the end: "Thank goodness for the Metrodome! It's raining and 45 degrees outside!"
I was completely exhausted at the end of the game last night, but yet, completely ecstatic! My future step-daughter (11 years old) watched the last five innings with me and I had a blast with her. This game actually got her into baseball. She can't wait for tonight's game to start! it's all she talked aobut this morning over breakfast. Thank you, Twins!!!!
Let's hear it for the crew that prepared the field for a ballgame just hours after the Vikings beat the Packers. These were two GIGANTIC ballgames to prepare for, and the Tuesday set-up looked beautiful.

I went to the Red Sox game last night and it sure was fun to watch the left field scoreboard. The Clevelad score just kept going up and up and up. Fenway fans were loving it, starting "Let's go Cleveland" chants.
