This is a good date movie only if you don't mind sitting in a theater full of squealing 14-year-old girls. I dunno, maybe it'll be different after opening weekend, but getting tricked into seeing this movie last weekend made it quite the ordeal for me.
I also hadn't heard much about the book series long before this movie. If I had I probably would have skipped this movie since I hate romantic comedies and the like, and I definitely am not in the teenybopper demographic this movie is geared towards.
The movie wasn't awful, but it wasn't nearly what it was cracked up to be. On another note, I think it would have been more aptly named The Awkward Vampire.
\ If you and Mrs. dunk just started watching a couple weeks back, do you realize Locke was paralyzed when he got on the plane and not paralyzed when it crashed? Yes, there are strange and mystical powers at work here.
