THIS. God, I forgot how much I just don't get Mad Men. I never watched it when it started out and tried to get into it via netflix, but good lord after four episodes of "we're all smoking indoors and calling females 'broads'" I just couldn't take it any more.

Oh, and I am shocked nobody has mentioned GLEE.(unless I've missed it somewhere)

That show makes me physically uncomfortable. Its so GAY and I am not using GAY as a homophobic reference, I'm using it as a "good god this stuff is ridiculous and cringe worthy and cheezy and crappy and over blown and unrealistic."

-Parks and Recreation. Somebody told me it gets better after the first season. Which was so "American Office-y" it turned me off. The cast seems terrific but I stopped watching it on Netflix and I will get back to it. But I doubt it.

-Heroes. Great premise. Horrible execution.

I think you will find Heroes gets no love even though I think Volume 3 was the only really bad season. I also agree with Parks and Rec, I watched part of the first episode and my wife said "When does this get funny?" I turned it off.

NCIS. I don't know how it's the top-rated show on television. I've watched a few minutes of it here and there (my old roommate used to watch it) and I've seen plenty of commercials, but I've yet to see any of the characters show any kind of charisma or, to me, come across as remotely interesting.

I hear this from people, but I must admit I can't WAIT to find out if Ziva and Denozo are going to get together, if Gibbs is ever going to finish his boat, if McGee is going to ever get older and sophisticated and then I can just look at Pauly and Cote and listen to David McCallum do his monologues with the bodies. Plus, there's a whodunnit every week. To me, it's the only can't miss it show on TV.

After years of people telling me The Wire was the greatest TV series ever I finally watched it all this past couple weeks. I mean it wasn't horrible, seasons one and three were pretty good. But the other three seasons bored me and by the end I had to force myself to finish watching.

Going back a while, That 70's Show. Hated that one.

It's true, Rachel+Joey was an abomination in the eyes of God and it ruined everything. That or the fact that it coincided with actors and creators sticking around longer than they wanted to because they were offered like eight figures per episode and not caring anymore. But mostly because Rachel+Joey was gross and weird.

I was in the same boat as you a year or so ago- I quit after the 5th ep. After hearing Orquiola, my boss and others rave about I gave it another go, the first scene of the 2nd season was classic and it gets better from there. Ron Swanson will become your God. The love story of season two will capture your heart. A certain dead weight in the cast is removed then Rob Lowe and the great Adam Scott join...and it gets awesomer. Jean Ralphio...oh man JR is used perfectly.

Trust me, trust Orquiola and the many other people who have told you this. Parks & Rec is LITERALLY my favorite show on TV right now.

These two...

Anything Dragonball

Robot Chicken

Both are probably more of a cult following that is/was enough to keep the show on air than an overall "love". I just can't get into them.

These two...

Dharma & Greg... The only thing I found funny about them was when they were house hunting in 2011 and showed up at the house that Ashton ended up buying.

Will & Grace (did like the stuff with Woody and Harry Jr though). As a straight man, I like gay people (don't read into that). It's just the show itself seemed a bit pretentious about its premise. The show was probably groundbreaking for it's time in sitcom history (hard to believe since so recent), I just couldn't get into it (that's what she said).

and these two...

Mad Men

Sons of Anarchy

I love where the cable networks are going these days. Shows like Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, American Horror Story etc..... I just don't like those two shows. I've tried and tried I just can't get into them. The weird thing is that I haven't given up on them though. I still force myself to watch them via Netflix.

30 Rock. Tina Fey is not funny to me, not even in the slightest. The rest of the characters don't appeal to me at all. It is regularly this black hole of suck in my Thursday night schedule, since it usually has been inserted to break up Community, Parks and Rec, and The Office in one way or another where I can't watch the shows I would actually watch all in one go.

Mad Men is also on the list. Then again, I've never understood the appeal of Jon Hamm, so it was doomed from the start.

Part of me wants to add SNL to the list, but in general I don't dislike SNL, I just dislike 90% of the characters that Kristen Wiig does. They all seem the same to me, and reminds me of the old MadTV days when Mo Collins played nothing but annoying females.

He has finished a few and there was one line of dialogue where he mentioned that he set at least one on fire because, and I'm paraphrasing, that if he couldn't have her then no one could.

Living with two women that loved it (Glee), I watched and it was amusing for a few episodes but after the first season, to me it was just basically Disney's High School the musical.

Everybody Loves Raymond

I've seen a handful of episodes and they were all so depressing. Nothing funny at all, just miserable people complaining about their miserable lives and not doing anything to improve their situation. It's like an Anton Checkov play with a laugh track.

I do enjoy cop stories a lot.

I love a good cop show and have been way into most of the ones on CBS...but I've grown tired of a lot of them. I still enjoy the characters and the banter, but NCIS and Criminal Minds, my two favorites, have seemingly just run out of interesting mysteries. Bones on FOX is having that problem, too. The actual cases have become background noise to the interpersonal banter. That can still be entertaining, but tends to make the shows feel a little "going through the motions" for me of late.

As for popular shows that I just don't get:

The Simpsons - Blasphemy to many, I know, but I got very tired of them after a couple of seasons. I can still enjoy some of the supporting cast, but Homer and Bart both make me want to shoot my TV. Ditto Family Guy, just replace with Peter.

Also, copy me on Everybody Loves Raymond - I've found Ray personally funny in his stand-up and everyone loves Peter Boyle, but, boy, that just seemed like a miserable, miserable family to spend time with.

Yeah, I know, I am talking about the current one. He's taken a few apart, still pining for the wife and daughter that were killed.

You know, I was just re-reading that and the scene in the Karate Kid remake of Jackie Chan tearing up the car he restored came to mind. Hmm. Interesting.

"Monotheism". That was probably my favorite Dwight character detail. Completely believable too, based on the character they've set up for him.
