For more information on new shows, you can look at the the information I provided back when these were announced.
ABC, CBS, The CW, and FOX. I didn't detail any of NBC's new shows (and I didn't even talk about MyNetwork), so no link for that.
There are a few changes from what I had written there. CBS' Project Gary has been renamed Gary Unmarried, just to really bring the point across. Likewise, The CW's Surviving the Filthy Rich has been renamed Privleged. On FOX, Hole In The Wall was moved up from Mid-Season, taking what had been The Moment of Truth's time slot. Hole In The Wall is a game show where people have to contort their bodies so as to fit through a wall which is coming towards them. If they fail to do so, they get knocked into the strategically placed water. Many clips of the show from other countries (variously titled "Hole in the Wall, "Brain Wall", or "Human Tetris") can be found on YouTube.

In other news, I've just discovered that ABC is going to carry the final match of the 2008 SlamBall Championship Series on November 2nd. It appears CBS will air any niche sport they can get their hands on. I have to contact them about my idea for Killerball right away.

THIS WEEK IN TV

MON-You didn't realize it was the start of the Fall TV schedule already, did you? Well it's true. As the chart above shows, NBC's Fall Schedule starts tonight with new episodes of Deal or No Deal and America's Toughest Jobs. NBC has revealed that the first million dollar winner on Deal or No Deal will be sometime this season. Probably not tonight though. If I had to guess, I'd say, oh I don't know, sometime in November. Otherwise, there's a new High School Musical: Get In The Picture on ABC. And then at 10:00 Eastern you can watch the Democratic National Convention on the big 3 networks (but if you're really that interested, you can watch it on PBS starting at 8:00, or CNN or MSNBC starting at, ugh, 5:00 PM, or Fox News starting at 9:45). Here's the long summary: "The 45th Democratic National Convention opens at the Pepsi Center in Denver. Speakers include Michelle Obama; House Speaker Nancy Pelosi; Sens. Claire McCaskill and Amy Klobuchar; former president Jimmy Carter; Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper; Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.; Barack Obama's sister, Maya Soetero-Ng; and Michelle Obama's brother, Craig Robinson; who will introduce his sister. Also on the agenda: a tribute to Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.)."

TUE-ABC is ready to bring Wipeout and Wanna Bet back, with the Olympics done. CBS airs Big Brother which was strangely unaffected the last two weeks by going up against the Olympics. And once again there's the Democratic National Convention. "Day 2 of the Democratic Convention, set to focus on the economy, is headlined by Sen. Hillary Clinton and former Virginia governor Mark Warner, who delivers the keynote address. Other speakers include Govs. Chet Culver, Janet Napolitano, Deval Patrick, Ed Rendell, Kathleen Sebelius, Brian Schweitzer and Ted Strickland; and Sens. Bob Casey Jr. and Patrick Leahy. From the Pepsi Center in Denver."

WED-There's America's Got Talent, and Greatest American Dog, and the Democratic National Convention. Don't these people have jobs!? "Vice-presidential nominee Joe Biden headlines Day 3 of the Democratic Convention, which features a "Securing America's Future" theme. Other speakers include Bill Clinton; Gov. Bill Richardson; Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid; Sens. Evan Bayh, John Kerry, Jack Reed, Ken Salazar and Jay Rockefeller; and House Majority Whip James Clyburn. Iraq War veteran Tammy Duckworth leads a tribute to service members."

THU-Big Brother continues as planned on CBS. FOX apparently had two epsiodes of The Moment of Truth that they were saving or perhaps got lost somewhere; they air tonight. NBC airs NFL Preaseason Football: Jacksonville vs. Washington. And then at 10:00 it's the end of the Democratic National Convention: "The concluding night of the Democratic National Convention is headlined by Barack Obama, who accepts the presidential nomination on the 45th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech. Also slated to address the gathering is Gov. Bill Ritter (D-Colo.). From Denver's Invesco Field."

FRI-I'm sure you could do Friday night from memory. I'd copy and paste it, but I'm even too lazy to do that. Friday Night Smackdown, Swingtown, Dateline NBC, 20/20, and finally Win A Date With Tad Hamilton, which I object to on artistic grounds.

SAT-It's the start of college football season, as ABC brings you Alabama v. Clemson from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta. Given the state of the Atlanta Falcons, it might be the best football played in there all year. There are new episodes of America's Most Wanted and 48 Hours Mystery on other channels.

SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY brings us Dateline NBC and National Treasure on NBC, and 60 Minutes, Big Brother, and Flashpoint on CBS.

I am totally pumped about Slamball coming back.

Lloyd: When I met Mary, I got that old fashioned romantic feeling, where I'd do anything to bone her.
Harry: That's a special feeling.

We can get Slamball, but I can't get Team Handball more than one tournament every four years? Not that I'm taking issue with the athletic battle that is Slamball.

I saw the commercial for this, and I can not believe this is a real show. I'd have trouble believing this is a mini game on a real show.

I've seen the Youtube clips of the Japanese show it's based off. I can't wait for the American version.

Fox Thursday - "We Surrender!" Going up against Survivor and NBC's comedies? Good luck.

Also, I almost missed The Unit tucked away on Sunday night at 10. I actually like that change for catching it on my DVR.

They had it as a mini-game on Ellen during the writer's strike. I think it lasted about week before everyone got bored with it.

Nope, this would be after "Lucky Number" and I would assume it includes the number. "Lucky Number" was first released on the album "Stateless" in 1979.
