NEW THIS WEEK: MONDAY-All new shows on ABC (Dance War, Notes From the Underbelly, October Road), FOX (Prison Break, Terminator), NBC (American Gladiators, Deal or No Deal, Medium). That leaves CBS and The CW running all reruns. Speaking of Dance War, I saw Bruno and Carrie Ann on The Tonight Show. Bruno sure has a crush on Bill Maher.
TUESDAY-ABC is all new (Just for Laughs, According to Jim, Carpoolers, Boston Legal), CBS has a new 48 Hours Mystery, FOX has a new American Idol, NBC has new episodes of The Biggest Loser and Law & Order:SVU, and The CW has a new episode of One Tree Hill. That episode of Law & Order:SVU, by the way, is the last new episode until the strike ends.
WEDNESDAY-Again, all new shows on ABC (Wife Swap, Supernanny, Cashmere Mafia), CBS (with Power of 10, Criminal Minds, and CSI:NY), and FOX (American Idol, Moment of Truth), while NBC has a new Deal or No Deal and Law & Order (and a new to NBC episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent), and The CW airs a new episode of Crowned. It's the last new episode of Criminal Minds, and the season premiere of Moment of Truth, which is a game show in which contestants are hooked up to a lie detector, and win money by answering more and more personal questions. I'm not sure about this show. If you're in it for the money, what do you care that you might be embarrassed? If you're not prepared to reveal everything about yourself, then why are you on it?
THURSDAY-ABC has new episodes of Ugly Betty and Big Shots (last new episode of Big Shots), FOX has a special two-hour episode of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? featuring Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders (ha ha, cheerleaders are stupid!), and NBC airs Celebrity Apprentice sandwiched around the last two new episodes of Chuck.
FRIDAY-ABC has a new episode of 20/20, CBS airs the special Garth Brooks: Live in L.A.!, NBC is all new (1 vs. 100, Friday Night Lights, Las Vegas), and of course The CW airs Friday Night SmackDown!
SATURDAY-ABC airs Pretty Woman (look how glamorous prostitution can be!), while CBS has two episodes of 48 Hours Mystery along with a special called Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials 2008 (hosted by Jim Nantz and Daisy Fuentes). This is apparently a new version of the same show they air every year, giving people a chance to vote on the greatest Super Bowl commerical. I don't know why, it's just going to be the Mean Joe Greene commercial again. FOX has Cops and America's Most Wanted, NBC airs the U.S. Figure Skating Championships (this is the women competing), and The CW airs RoboCop.
SUNDAY-let's go back to diving them out, as there's a lot to say about this night. * ABC-new episodes of America's Funniest Home Videos and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition * CBS-new episodes of 60 Minutes and Shark, and made-for-TV movie The Russell Girl, starring Amber Tamblyn. That's the last new episode of Shark, by the way. * FOX-new episodes of The Simpsons, King of the Hill, and American Dad. The Simpsons is a flashback show, so I don't know if that means stuff from previous episodes or not. It has guest appearances from Kurt Loder and "Weird Al" Yankovic. * NBC-another night of U.S. Figure Skating Championships (the men, this time), along with Guinness World Records: Top 100, which features them revealing the 100 Guiness World Records, along with an attempt by stuntman Clint Ewing to break his own world record by racing through a 200 foot tunnel of fire on a motorcycle. * The CW airs new episodes of CW Now and Life Is Wild.
as a guy who always liked Green Arrow and thought of GA as one of his favorite, but is not a comic book nerd (I haven't even picked one up in 10 years or so because they are too expensive), I agree with this.
