Big news for those of you who are disappointed in 24 this season with the new President; Dennis Haysbert will be in the final six episodes of the season. Personally, I miss the mountain lions from the second season.
ABC finally has a CSI clone! EVIDENCE, starring Martin Landau and Orlando Jones... NO, I'm not shitting you!... will star as homicide detectives who solve crimes. The only crime is making Martin Landau act with Orlando Jones, the way I see it. John Wells will be producing, so it's got that going for it.
Speaking of CSI, Quintin Tarantino will be directing the season finale of the show.
Sci-Fi has renewed BATTLESTAR GALACTICA for another season. This show could end up being this decades BABYLON 5, the way it's going, with a spin-off TV movie already in the works for next year, centering around the Cylons.
NBC has renewed E.R., MEDIUM, THE WEST WING, JOEY, THE APPRENTICE, LAS VEGAS, CROSSING JORDAN, and 'all' of the LAW & ORDER series for next season.
E.R. was renewed for an additional two more seasons giving viewers the show through 2007. Noah Wylie is expected to stay on for one last season next year, in hopes of bringing in someone new to take over his spot on the show as the lead.
Martin Sheen and the majority of the WEST WING cast will only be in about 10 episodes next season with Jimmy Smits taking over as the new President. On another plus, it'll drop the production costs by over half to about $2.5million an episode.
OK, now THIS sounds about as stupid as the show on Spike where they have people stealing shit. NBC has a new show next season called TREASURE HUNTERS that is a rip-off of NATIONAL TREASURE where teams go globetrotting in search of treasure. The reason NATIONAL TREASURE worked so well was because of the history they put in it and decent performances... this just sounds like shit.
Pam Anderson is returning to your screens fully clothed this time! Her and Christopher Lloyd will be starring in a new show for FOX next season called STACKED, which takes place in a book store... err, as if Pamela Anderson has EVER been in a bookstore before.
I can't remember if I had this the last time, but ABC's redoing THE NIGHT STALKER next season... funny; didn't they cancel this before, back in the 70's?

"What do you think it's like being created by a manic-depressive, paranoid schizophrenic, hypochondriac, misogynist with delusions of grandeur and a messiah complex?"
The Pamela Anderson show is NOT going to start next season, as there are already advertisements (I saw two during That 70's Show) that state that Stacked starts in April.
I'm sorry, did you just give away who wins the presidency on The West Wing? My interest in the show has recently picked up because I've been wondering how this battle is going to turn out, and now it's spoiled for me?
Thats great news about Battlestar Galactica. That show is awesome and I love seeing it every week. The character development has been great, I just hope we get to see some cool space battles and more stuff blow up soon :)

Please tell me you're just guessing.
I thought it was a foregone conclusion. Look at how they've handled his character as a family man, pilot, politician, and person. He's got more substance.

I don't know how it could be done, but I'd love to see Alan Alda's Vinick (sp?) win.
More Alda is always good to me. I'd love to see how the Dems would have to live with a GOP president.
What would the characters do? That would be the hard part. I think having Lyman be like the Hayes chick from the 1st (2nd?) season would be good. The token Dem on the staff to remind them that Dems aren't evil.
Yeah, you'd basically need a whole new cast, and it would be like a whole new series, but it would be an intersting dynamic to the show. Or I'm just thinking too much.

I had read somewhere (sorry I don't remember where) that they weren't going to make a decision about who wins the election until after this season is over. But they are set to go in either direction. The plan is that the season finale this year will be the conventions, and then the season premiere will be the election, followed rather rapidly by the inauguration.

Injury prevention 4. Self-discipline 5. Sex (Trust me, you'll have a better shot with the ladies if you're in shape.)" -- Making the Game, pp. 14 - 15
Great to see the new Galactica getting some lovin'. I'll gladly say goodbye to Trek if it'll allow Ron Moore greater breathing room to keep annoying the crochety old fanbase.

I've been rooting for Santos since very early in the process, but part of the beauty of this season is because you don't know how it's going to turn out, and no one (other than Hoynes, of course, but he appears to be out of the running) is a "bad guy".
It seems to be a foregone conclusion that Vinick's going to win the GOP nomination. It'd be great to see Santos win the Democratic nomination, and see those two debate one another. Vinick pretty much verbally kicked his ass the last time those two debated, but that was long before Santos began gaining the confidence and will to be President that he now has.

I figured that Smits would seem to be the obvious pick as well, but the fact that they cast Patricia Richardson and Stephen Root as Vinick's staffers is a good sign that if next year's West Wing is GOP, they're already planning to have good talent in place.
Then again, this is the West Wing fantasy world of politics. For all we know, maybe Vinick and Santos will join forces as a third party and have Vinick as the prez and Santos as the veep.
Am I crazy, or could a Landau/Jones team end up having loads of chemistry? I've always thought Jones was a very strong, charismatic actor, and combined with a great performer like Landau, this show is already off on the right foot with good leads.
I'm interested in selling my youngest daughter into slavery as sanctioned in Exodus 21:7. She's a Georgetown sophomore, speaks fluent Italian, always cleared the table when it was her turn. What would a good price for her be? While thinking about that, can I ask another? My Chief of Staff Leo McGarry insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly says he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself or is it okay to call the police? Here's one that's really important because we've got a lot of sports fans in this town: touching the skin of a dead pig makes one unclean. Leviticus 11:7. If they promise to wear gloves, can the Washington Redskins still play football? Can Notre Dame? Can West Point? Does the whole town really have to be together to stone my brother John for planting different crops side by side? Can I burn my mother in a small family gathering for wearing garments made from two different threads? Think about those questions, would you? One last thing: while you may be mistaking this for your monthly meeting of the Ignorant Tight-Ass Club, in this building, when the President stands, nobody sits." --- President Jed Bartlett, The West Wing
