Yeah, it's been a while...

-----

Let me give you one incredibly awesome reason to watch THE VIEW... Rosie O'Donnell could at any moment, jump up and eat Star Jones and no one on the set would try to stop her. ...it COULD happen.

BATTLESTAR GALACTICA gets the 'prequel' treatment from SCI-FI with CAPRICA, a new 'family drama' that takes place 50 years before the events of the current show. This scares me.

Get your cancellations here: ABC yanks COMMANDER IN CHIEF for the May Sweeps, it probably will not be showing the last three episodes either. I lnow there's others, but I can't fine the folder where I was keeping track of this stuff in. Yes I actually DO this... pity me.

Get you renewals here: NBC picks up THE OFFICE, MY NAME IS EARL, LAW AND ORDER:(EVERYTHING!), VEGAS (That's still on?), MEDIUM, and CROSSING JORDAN. CBS has renewed all 3 CSIs, COLD CASE, and WITHOUT A TRACE. ABC has renewed GREY'S ANATOMY, LOST (THAT'S still on?(hahaha!)). FOX has renewed PRISON BREAK and HOUSE.

Speaking of L&O, it seems Jack Mccoy just can't keep his women... Annie Parisse who plays ADA Borgia on the show is leaving after this season. Maybe she's a lesbian too?

1 VERSUS 100, this sounds cool. It's a new NBC game show where they pit one player against 100 others. The single player could win 'millions' if he/she outlasts the larger group by answering questions. If they, at any time answer wrong though, they get nothing.

Sean Young gets a hefty paycheck with the new show ART OF BETRAYAL. This just announced MYNETWORK drama is about a scorned wife who sets up her two sons, in thier 20's, to marry her ex-husbands two daughters and ruin his life. Yes, I'll be glued to the television for THIS shit!

TV LAND is trying to become 'MUST SEE TV' by giving Mr T his own series! I PITY THE FOOL will see Mr T helping average people with getting ahead in life... like making a boss give an employee a raise and even some marriage counciling. Look out Dr Phil, I pity your job!

Bravo's TOP CHEF is getting a second season. Why?

I think the BBC is starting to kill DR WHO. With one spin-off already in the works, they've just announced ANOTHER one, centered around... I wish I was joking here... K9! Yes, the dog. JETIX EUROPE will be showing 26 episodes of the show, called K9 ADVENTURES. It's a kids show!

The fact that you choose to report on THIS development while ignoring the Maria Conchita Alonso MNT novela announced at the same time can lead us to only one conclusion.

...that I'm part of some Sean Young Fan Club? That I screamed for joy when I read about her being on my television five nights a week for like 5 months straight. That I STILL have those pictures of her in the CATWOMAN outfit on a disc somewhere?

What?

(OK, actually, I know EXACTLY where the pictures of her as Catwoman are...)

Too bad about Annie Parisse, I was digging her on Law and Order. At least I'm pretty sure that whoever her replacement winds up being, they won't be as bad as Elizabeth Rohm.

K9 Adventures is actually done outside the BBC as Bob Baker, the creator, owns the rights to K9.

I'm not sure if this is true, but Baker had shopped around a K9 animated series for years and now that Who-mania is running wild it's getting made. Seems believable as there were other productions of Doctor Who characters done before without any involvement of the BBC by the characters' creators.

I assume it will be the same show we have had here in Holland for a few years now.
It's not really high caliber tv but that might be because the setting here is sorta "lame family entertainment"

*sigh* Why bother?

Boo-yeah on the Commander in Chief cancellation. I felt my intelligence so insulted by the last episode I watched (a Secret Service agent would deliberately withhold information from the President regarding the whereabouts of her own MOTHER?!) that about fifteen minutes through the thing I said, "You know what-- fuck this, I'm gonna erase this thing from my DVR and never watch the show again."

I used to like the show, but I won't miss it. I mean, every episode was essentially the same. You could always bet on these things happening:

1. President Allen making a faux pas, and Templeton gleefully telling the world about it to frustrate her efforts to be a good president (and eventually weasel his own way into the White House).

2. Some kinda drama revolving around the family. Her mother goes missing, the First Gentleman feels he's being snubbed because he's replaced as Chief of Staff, the teenage daughter's journal gets stolen, etc.

3. Some drama requiring President Allen to be in the Situation Room a lot. Shit, she spent more time in the Sit Room in the first season of CiC than Jed Bartlet probably did in the first two seasons of The West Wing. (But that's because the storytelling on The West Wing is vastly superior).

Nice try, ABC, but not even close to a fuckin' cigar. You can only get away with recycling the same old stuff so many times before people start abandoning you in droves. And don't try to blame American Idol for it, either-- your show sucks now.

Now, regarding the My Name is Earl renewal-- another resounding BOO-YEAH! I love, love, love this show, and I'm very pleased that it's been extended for a second season. I make it a point to watch this show (which usually airs back-to-back new episodes) every week, I'm buying the DVD box set when it comes out, and I couldn't be happier that it'll be continued.

Buzz says that Scrubs has been renewed, but NBC hasn't confirmed yet.

The continued success of My Name Is Earl & The Office warms my heart.

I have to agree on Earl. Who would have thought Jamie Pressley would deserve a major acting award but I can't think of anyone who deserves an Emmy more than she does.
