|I have an old powerbook that is busted, but the screen is fine... is there any way to like hook it up to a cord and use it as a monitor for a desktop computer?|

http://folding.stanford.edu/FAQ-SMP.html Ok, so they support two platforms: MacOSX and 64 Bit Linux. You can run the 64 bit Linux version inside of a virtual machine on a Windows machine.
