Okay, I really need some help here. I can only get to the ESPN Fantasy Games site if I am not signed into my account. Once I sign in, I get the page cannot be displayed message. What am I missing? Has my company installed some firewall preventing me from getting to the games page? I can access all of ESPN's other pages, just not the fantasy pages when I am logged in. I have messed around with all the security settings and can't figure it out. It's also something I can't just call our company IT about and say "Hey, I got a non-work problem here. I can't play fantasy football on my lunch hour."

HELP!!

I was having similar problems with other ESPN pages (namely Insider blogs). Here's a workaround...

Go to what SHOULD be your league/team's URL. You will have a login screen in its place. Enter your login. This is where I usually got the "Page Not Found" (or something similar) message. Click "Back" in your browser, then when the login page displays again, refresh your browser.

That should do it.

That sounded good, but it didn't work.

But you are right in that it gives me the message when I log into my account. I can get to other ESPN places when logged in (baseball, insider, etc.), but not fantasy games or my own team.

The problem is probably not on your end; the entire ESPN fantasy football site has been massively slow and buggy since they launched for the new year with a whole new layout.

It seems as if they underestimated the server wear the new format would create, since the bottleneck / errors all seem to come at points of transaction (login, setting draft list, etc.). I complained bitterly to ESPN without any response a few days ago, and am highly concerned since my league draft is tomorrow night.

Bottom line, keep trying, if possible during lower bandwidth periods such as at night and you *may* get in eventually.

I have now tried this from home and sweetroll's solution worked with Firefox. It originally comes up with the error, but backing up and then refreshing worked.

At my work, we use Explorer and it didn't work. So, I need to figure out if it is an Explorer issue or a more generic firewall-y issue.

I guess I will have to do my pre-ranking on my own time instead of company time. Drats.

Well, the official update on my league is that ESPN completely messed up. The server crashed for much of Thursday night and they wound up arbitrarily having an auto-draft the following afternoon - but didn't tell anyone. So those of us who didn't really pre-rank positions (figuring we could adjust on the fly in a live environment) wound up with most interesting rosters (I have three TE and SIX QB).

Oh, and they also messed up the draft order, which was supposed to be based on last year's standings. But hey, they did get the three keepers right so I guess it's not all bad. :p

Bottom line, every member of my league has reached out to ESPN to request either a refund or a re-do. No word yet, so I'm starting to look elsewhere (NFL.com, Sportsline, Yahoo) for my Fantasy needs going forward. That's a real bummer, since I've been a loyal customer since 1997.

Hey, if you own a Mac, check this out. http://www.macheist.com/bundle/u/311331/ I signed up for Twitter today to get Delicious Library. If enough people buy this, I get Boinx, which I'd kind of like to have.
