Yes! Thatīs WWEīs official way to market tonights Raw!

It isnīt: Trish is the guest of tonights highlight reel!

It isnīt: Will Benoit and Michaels win tag team gold?

It is: Triple H returns!

They mean he has "returned to all of our hearts"! Yea, I am more looking forward to Trish on Highlight. But are they still goign to put HBK in the Benoit/hHh feud again? It seems like it with the tag match. Why do they do this? Wasn't WMXX enough?

Meh. Colour me glad he's confined to one show. People can whine all they like about what an outrage it is that he didn't go to Smackdown but that's like saying since a predator ate everyone in one area he should move to another area and eat everyone there too. I believe Guerrero has more potential than Jericho ever possibly could at this point, and he's a more complete performer than Chris Benoit as well. If Trips is going to go over those guys, fine, but leave me Eddy and Cena and Angle to enjoy without Hunter getting anywhere near them. And hell, let me enjoy Booker and RVD now that they have a chance to succeed.

The best question about the Hi-Lite reel is whether Christian is still the host or has Jericho reclaimed his spot.
As for Trip being the focal point of promotion of the show, his departure was the focal point last week, thus his return is the focal point this week. I'm not in agreement with it, but it does make sense, especially considering how Ross and Lawler were pondering whether the show should stay on the air without Trip last week.

Why is TVLand stealing my ideas from DEAN's Workrate Report's? They had to be stealing, as I thought I had the only demented mind that could put Bea Arthur and Abe Vigoda in a sex scene.

I'd be amazed if they didn't throw HHH back into the main event at Backlash. From what I've seen on Raw and at WMXX, HBK seems to be slightly losing some popularity with the fans. It would instantly turn him into a huge heel if he screwed Benoit in Canada, taking the strap for himself, or causing Benoit to drop it to HHH.

Stone Cold Steve Austin is broken down and semi-retired. Ric Flair is in his mid-to-late 50s. The Rock is making movies most of the time. That leaves Triple H as the only firmly established draw around. He's working with the other established draw (Shawn Michaels) who hasn't been working regularly since 1998. So, we have these two guys working to legitimize the new champion (Chris Benoit).

Like it or not, Triple H is the biggest star they have that 1)wrestles regularly (unlike Austin) and 2)is in the promotion regularly (unlike Rock and Foley). It makes perfect sense for him to be the focal point of the show.

That being said, isn't it kinda lame to hype it as his "return" even though he never ACTUALLY LEFT the show? He was on Raw last week, never showed on Smackdown, and now he's "back?" What?

I dunno about that. If he's supposedly leaving the show soon to film a movie and he's not even the damn world champ anymore! Benoit is the world champ and he IS wrestling regularly and for the last 2 years has been in the promotion regularly more than HHH.

I dont know. Maybe they'll play up how HHH was able to use his "connections" with evil despicable RAW GM Eric Bischoff to get traded back to RAW because there's no way he's gonna let Benoit off that easy for taking his title.

Ok, it probably wont go down exactly like that, but there's one example of how WWE could make this make sense storyline-wise.

This would be the perfect time for a smart ass Jericho promo. With the whole spit take on the big screen, playing it over and over again. But CJ is busy of course, I guess a smart ass Edge promo with the spit take could work also.

Maybe, but my point was there was no level of abscence to warrant "leaving" Raw, so how can he "return" to something he never left? It's just technical semantics on my part.

Very true. I'm not calling for all Triple H, all the time, but I think it's safe to say that he's the most main-stream face on Raw and the guy they've been focusing on for the last 2 years, for better or worse. They can't just rocket Benoit to the top of the promotion, they need to gradually build him up as a major player. Putting the belt on him and having Hunter tap to the cross-face was a great start, but they've got a few more step to take before people buy him as a franchise player.

That was my whole point. HHH, being the evil sarcastic rat bastard that he is, throws himself a "Lookit me, I'm back on Raw! How about that!" party, then goes on to explain about how he orchestrated his own trade back to Raw in the first place because he doesnt want to let Benoit get away with taking "his" title that easily. He could even run down SmackDown as the "B" show (like he usually does) while he's at it.

I really like how they're playing RAW against SmackDown now. I hope this eventually leads to a yearly Survivor Series match pitting the best of RAW against the best of Smackdown, since that would give the Survivor Series that extra bit of specialness I think it's been lacking.

Playing devil's advocate... if they weren't going to move him anyway (which is now obviously the case) what's so wrong with an angle that allowed him to job to the two biggest 'net darlings out there in an 8 day period?

Where's Grimis when you actually WANT him around, huh? Anyways, the Hamas group, known for terrorism the world round have won the Iraqi election by a 'surprisingly' strong margin.
